Mingyu balanced himself as he walked along the edge of the large bridge. One side of the wall lead less than a foot to a sidewalk, but the other side went at least- well he didn't really know how far it was, but it was far enough that he would die if he fell. He stood right on the edge as he walked though, he honestly didn't care if he fell, it wouldn't change the world a bit. It wasn't like anyone would care if he just fell over. He had no friends, no family, he had no one.
"Don't do it." A voice caught Mingyu by surprise and made him almost fall over, but a hand grabbed his arm and pulled him back. After he was off the ledge Mingyu pulled his arm away from the boy.
"I wasn't planning on it." Mingyu muttered threw gritted teeth.
"I'm supposed to believe that you walking along the edge of a bridge wasn't going to lead to you jumping off?" The boy asked in a bit of a sarcastic tone.
"Well yes." Mingyu told the boy. Mingyu looked at the boy for the first time since they started talking. He was a bit smaller then himself and had short black hair with bangs that covered his forehead. His eyes were a dark brown, so dark that they almost looked black.
"Well- whats your name?" He asked cutting off his own sentence.
"Mingyu"
"Well Mingyu, walking along the edge of a bridge, especially at this time of night, doesn't help your argument. Just remember suicide isn't the answer."
"Like I haven't heard that a million times before." Mingyu muttered under his breath.
"What was that?" The boy asked.
"Nothing. I should be going now." Mingyu excused himself, giving the boy a quick wave before turning around to walk away.
"Wonwoo." He heard the boy say from behind him.
"What?" Mingyu asked, turning around in confusion.
"My names Wonwoo. I never told you my name." Wonwoo smiled.
"Well bye Wonwoo." Mingyu went to turn back around but before he could Wonwoo grabbed him. Mingyu gave the boy a confused look, but then he noticed Wonwoo took out a pen and started writing numbers on Mingyu's arm.
"Here is my number, if you ever want to walk along bridges with someone else, call me." He smiled.
"Sure." With that Mingyu turned around and walked away toward the other side of the bridge, his mind full of the strange encounter he just had. As his thoughts wandered his phone started to buzz. He snatched his phone from his pocket and read the notification from Nerve. It read...
Go to the marina
Without a hint of hesitation Mingyu hit accept, with that he started his walk toward the marina which was no more then a 5 minute walk. Mingyu's mind wondered, he thought of the most random things when he went on walks, but for some reason his mind always went in a full circle and ended back with the boy Wonwoo.
All Mingyu's life no one seemed to care about him, he never had many friends, his dad left him when he was young and then his mother committed suicide. After that being bounced from foster home to foster home didn't help, he was then given to his drunk uncle who was abusing Mingyu when he wasn't abusing the many woman who walked threw the house. Mingyu was just a stranger to Wonwoo but Wonwoo still got out of his car and took the time to tell Mingyu to keep pushing forward.
Mingyu's walk ended too quickly, it felt like he teleported, thats just what happened when he got lost in his thoughts, he would block the world out.
"Mingyu?" A voice asked in a cautious tone. Mingyu looked up to see Wonwoo walking toward him, Wonwoo looked relived to see it was just Mingyu.
"Wonwoo? What are you doing here?" Mingyu queried in a confused voice.
