We made our way to tower four and already we could hear the sounds of gunfire and artillery which only put us on edge. The pathway was cramped with soldiers moving to and from the line. We arrived at Tower four and made our way to the top and took our places. Williams was on the machine gun, biggs grabbed a sniper, mark was on the radio and I grabbed a target locater. The locater looked like a standard pair of binoculars but with three boutons on the side and a range finder on the lenses.,
Below us was another trench filled with soldiers.Me and biggs scanned the wasteland in front of us to try and spot any advance. But we didn't find anything. That was until about a hour later when I spotted about 50 cazadors dropping off soldiers and vehicles. I told biggs to alert the other towers and began marking targets. One of the cazadors dropped off something that looked like some sort of walker. It was huge bit didn't look like it had any weapons. I marked it and prepared for the imminent assault.
The first thing to start moving was the Walker. It slowly made its way toward us and we began to shoot at it. Suddenly a large rifle came out of its side and began glowing. It fired and destroyed the tower next to us and began charging again. Then the rest of the troops that gathered decided to charge for the line. Artillery began bombarding the Walker but it didn't have much effect, I saw it aim at us so I ordered everyone to evacuate the bunker but befor me and williams could escape it fired. The shot hit floor two and coursed the ground beneath us to give way. We fell to the bottom floor and I managed to avoid any major injuries. I looked around for williams who had gotten a piece of rubar stuck in his leg. I ran to try and help but I couldn't do much.
I was looking around to try and find some way of getting us out of here when a soldier taped me on the shoulder “are you ok?” he asked. He must have been surprised we survived. I nodded “can you help me get my freind to a medic” I pointed at williams. He shook his head “no one can leave until the assault is over but I'm sure it'll be safer down in the trench than here.” he said and I carried williams as we ran down the hill into the trench. I put williams “are you going to be ok?” I ask “yeah, just try to find a way to take that thing down” he said. He was clearly in pain but he wasn't bleeding so I joined the other soldiers and the line.
It was a took a long time before we managed to get the infantry to back off but the walker still remained and now it was too close to our line for the artillery to fire at it. The soldiers began panicking as our bullets seemed to just bounce of its hull. It destroyed another tower and most of the soldiers broke and retreated. I gathered what remained and we tried to find a weak point in its hull. “how are we supposed to beat this thing if we can't touch it?” one of the soldiers said and they all looked at me as if I know what to do “I don't know?” I said and they nodded “well I'm getting out of here?” he said and left, the others following close behind.
I looked at the huge machine as it came closer. “what are we going to do sir?” a voice behind me said. I turned to see a young hyena looking at me. I shrugged. I guess command must have figured out that the line had broke because jets began swarming the area. They dropped their payload and caused the Walker to stumble and fall. Giving us a opportunity to get on it. I told the hyena to follow me as me charged the Walker. “what's the plan?” he asked “first let's just get onto it.” I said and got to it. I helped him onto the roof of it and he helped me up. Afterwards it stood back up. The sudden movement caused me to lose my balance. The hyena helped me “I guess we should find a way inside” he said.
