The Last Hope I

The First Mission: Part 1

     I stayed at the hospital for two more days before I was sent to Ibiki for questioning. The day the nurse cleared me she did not seem happy. Before leaving she told me her name was Shizuka and said if I were to be hurt to look for her at the hospital and she will help me out. Our parting was abrupt seeing as they wanted to go right away so they could start the questioning. Going out the doors of the hospital, I saw the man with white hair, Kakashi they had called him. He was probably visiting the boy with yellow hair but this time he wasn’t alone. He brought along a girl with pink hair and a boy with black hair. Walking past them Kakashi had stopped us and asked where we were going. The men with masks told him that I was being sent to Ibiki for questioning and that is all. Letting the conversation end, Kakashi and the other two kept their eyes on me as I left.

    I did not know what Ibiki would do once the questioning started but I did not care. Everything was dull and left me feeling empty. I couldn’t think long enough to remember my previous thoughts. Everything was just a monotoned blur.

    It was a bright sunny day but has we entered at the place, it was dark and damp filled with only a couple of people. Ibiki stood close to the entree way and took me to a room with a table with two chairs. He told me to sit and he sat in the other. He had paper and pen with as he began to ask his questions.

    “Why were you at the Fire Temple?”

    “I do not know,” I said quietly staring directly at him. He was in the background while my thoughts filled my eyesight.

    “What is your name?”

The same response to every question. My name, age, date of birth, birth place, parents, etc. Everything I had lost in the oblivion of my thoughts. My head was filled with questions and no answers to be found.

    The questioning kept going on for a while until he stopped. They sent me to a cell that had a hard metal bed with a blanket and pillow. I sat and waited for a long period of time. I was left with my thoughts but nothing could come to mind. As I waited for my next questioning, I was visited by the Hokage.

     “Ibik tells me there has been no progress.” I sat there in silence letting him speak. “We are only trying to help. We cannot help you if you do not cooperate. You may not remember some things but something must have happened in that room.” Something did indeed happen but what it was I do not know. I could not figure out what Kyubi was saying or what any of it meant. The Hokage continued talking, “Why did you go to that room? What brought you there?”

    “Why was he trapped?” I whispered but in that silence, anyone would be able to hear.

    “Trapped? Who?” He asked slightly puzzled. I fell silent. After a long period of silence, he had taken his leave.

    The questioning went on for days and yet I said nothing of use. After a few days of the uneventful interrogation, they took me to a different room. It had a weird chair with many different symbols. The symbols seemed familiar but I paid no mind. I did as I was told and sat down in it. Another man came in, telling me he was going to go through my mind to see if he could find anything. I just sat waiting for it to begin, only to have it end at the very start.

     “I can't read her. She has a seal blocking me from reading her mind. I have never since a seal like this before.”
     “So you are telling me she really can't remember anything?” Ibiki questioned the man.
     “I don't know because the seal isn't like any of the others. I do not know how it works or what it does to the host.”
     “So we won't know unless we figure out how the seal works?” Ibiki began to think.
      “We could try to go further but I don't think that would be a good idea as seeing we don't know what affects it has if tempered with.”
      “Girl, can you really not remember anything? Why were you in Naruto hostipal room that day?”
      “No I can not remember who I am.  I was in his room from the presence I felt.”
     “What presence?”
     “Kyubi.”
     “You know of the beast within that boy?”
     “Kyubi is not a beast.” I said with disappointment. How can they say that about him?
     I sensed angry filling the room. “Not a beast...? He killed countless of villagers.”
