Naomi frantically ran down the hallway to the Dolan room. She knocked loudly on the door, but got no answer. Naomi tried to open the door and to her surprise, it was unlocked.
The door squeaked softly as it swung open, and Naomi walked inside. She called out Grayson's name as she looked around the room, and got no response.
All of a sudden, there was a loud clanking noise, and a muffled yell. Naomi searched around for the noise, not having much luck.
A loud banging filled the room, frightening the poor girl. She shrieked and jumped back when the closet door was busted down, revealing a restrained Grayson. His hands were cuffed to the metal curtain rod, and duct tape covered his mouth. His eyes were red and puffy, from crying.
"Grayson!" Naomi exclaimed as she ran over to the boy. She carefully peeled off the duct tape, trying not to hurt him.
"N-naomi, there's a k-key in one of those drawers. I heard him sh-shut it." Grayson panted out. Naomi rushed over to the chest of drawers, her finger shaking as she rummaged through all the contents. Sure enough, she found a small silver key at the bottom of one of them, and ran back over to grayson. She unlocked his handcuffs as Grayson pulled his tired arms down. He rubbed his wrists before looking up at Naomi.
"Thanks for saving me." He mumbled.
"What the hell happened?!" Naomi exclaimed, but quickly covered her mouth. she had never cursed before, but right now, adrenaline was pumping through her veins.
"M-my father. He told me to stay away from you, but I defied him. He kept me in here so I couldn't see you." Grayson replied.
"That's mental!" Naomi yelled. her eyebrows furrowed, thinking badly of the seemingly innocent man. At least he seemed innocent, ever since Naomi saw him talking happily at the first meal aboard the ship.
"Come on, we must leave before he gets back." Grayson stated. He struggled to pull the closet hanger out of the wall, to make it look like he escaped. He gave up, and just put the key back where it came from. He then took Naomi's hand, and ran out of the room.
