The waterhad fallen silent. There was no more whistles, no more splashing, and no more cries for help. Naomi stared at Grayson as his eyelids slowly fluttered open and closed.
All of a sudden, a commotion started from over where Rose was. Naomi carefully turned her head, afraid that her neck would crack like ice.
Rose was shaking Jack, who laid still in the water. Everything about him looked frozen, including his eyelashes. Rose brought his blue hands to her lips, and placed a soft kiss on his knuckles. She said something to him that Naomi couldn't hear, before letting go of his hands.
Naomi was too cold to do anything as she watched her friend start sinking in the ocean. She knew that he was dead, and became very worried about Grayson.
It felt as though they had been in the water for hours, but Naomi knew it had only been a few minutes. Otherwise they'd all be dead.
A faint yelling could be heard, and a flashlight moved across naomi's face. Rose started calling out for help, her voice weak and inaudible.
She rolled off her door, and swam over to the man that had the whistle. Rose blew into it as loud as she could, and a lifeboat came paddling over. A crewmember helped Rose and Naomi into the boat, and gave them both blankets. The crewmember assumed Grayson was dead, but Naomi refused to leave without him. She wasn't ready to say goodbye. The man reluctantly hoisted Grayson's weak body into the boat, and Naomi went to sit beside him. She sacrificed her blanket, and wrapped it around his shoulders.
Rose gave her a sympathetic look, but Naomi didn't believe that Grayson Dolan froze to death, considering everything else he's been through. it's too slow and too painful of a death.

I rewrote this chapter about three times, because I wanted to make sure it was perfect. It still might not be, but I hope you liked it.
