Months of the tide. Of trying to keep her head above water, of drowning.

Sally stands in the middle of the room, smiling to herself, music playing softly in the background from her stereo. The final room in her flat decorated, peat streaking her face and arms, her short blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail. Opening the window, she closes the door to let it dry, making herself a cup of tea. Sally's two bedroom flat was beautiful, now decorated and filled with furniture and homely touches. Her phone rings on the worktop and she picks it up, grinning at the caller ID.

"Hey Han,"

"What's up my girl hows painting?"

"All done, just need it to try and then I'll put it back to normal,"

"Sahweeet, hey you coming out tonight? Let's go slut it up,"

"Hannah!" Sally chuckles as her friend laughs.

"Yes I'll come out tonight, I've got work til 10 but I'll come out afterwards,"

"Awesome! See you later babe!"

"Bye doofus,"

Sally sits in a group of her friends at the bar, laughing, joking, carefree and happy.

"Sally,"

"Liam," Sally breathes and they look at eachother awkwardly over their shopping trollies.

"What are you doing here?"

"Shopping funnily enough," Liam chuckles and Sally gives a light laugh, looking away and then looking back at him with a smile.

"You changed your hair," he says, pointing to his head and she bites her lip, nodding.

"It looks great, you look great kid," Liam stutters nervously and blushing, Sally smiles widely.

"You too," she says shyly and try share a look for a moment before Sally clears her throat.

"I need to go, but I'll see you around?"

"I'll see you around kid,"

A quiet night at Murpheys, it getting busier as the night goes on. Liam walks through the door, shaking off the cold and throwing a wave to his friends in the corner. Soft singing can be heard, a little acoustic band playing on the stage. The singer has a soft silvery voice, an Irish twang to it.

Liam crosses the room, joining his friends and sips his pint, laughing and joking. Looking up to the bar, he smiles to himself.

Sally is singing and looking right at him, the corners of her mouth pulled up in a smile. Putting down his pint, Liam gets to his feet and she stifles a laugh as she sings, Liam crossing the room in long strides, pushing through the people dancing until he stands at the edge of the stage.

"Show me, show me, show me how you do that trick
The one that makes me scream" she said
"The one that makes me laugh" she said
And threw her arms around my neck...

Sally comes to the edge of the stage, singing with a smile as Liam grins up at her.

"You, soft and only, you lost and lonely, you, just like heaven," the band sings softly behind her as she bends down, Liam fingers in her soft blonde hair as he kisses her softly.

Blinking in the soft early morning light, Liam looks down at the sleeping form of Sally. He smiles to himself, her sprawled across his chest and he runs his fingers through her hair, the strands gold in the Suns light.

"Stop watching me sleep you creep," she grumbles before looking up at him with a grin.

"You're so great when you sleep though, giving me no shit and no attitude," Liam says wistfully and Sally laughs, sighing contentedly.

Liam kisses her head and she presses a kiss to his chest.

"You making the tea then?"

"Ugh I should have stayed asleep"

"You know you love me,"

"Yes, yes I do,"

Show me how you do that trick
The one that makes me scream" she said
"The one that makes me laugh" she said
And threw her arms around my neck
"Show me how you do it
And I promise you I promise that
I'll run away with you
I'll run away with you"

Spinning on that dizzy edge
I kissed her face and kissed her head
And dreamed of all the different ways I had
To make her glow
"Why are you so far away?" she said
"Why won't you ever know that I'm in love with you
That I'm in love with you"

You
Soft and only
You
Lost and lonely
You
Strange as angels
Dancing in the deepest oceans
Twisting in the water
You're just like a dream

Daylight licked me into shape
I must have been asleep for days
And moving lips to breathe her name
I opened up my eyes
And found myself alone alone
Alone above a raging sea
That stole the only girl I loved
And drowned her deep inside of me

You
Soft and only
You
Lost and lonely
You
Just like heaven
