Emma sensed the stranger watching her as she flipped the last three Faro cards over, leaving the boys howling at the bank.

The man was trouble.  He was too handsome in his brown wool pants and dark blue cotton shirt.  Common clothes, but there was nothing common about him.  She went behind the bar and poured him a whiskey.  "Ain't seen you around before."  She said.

"Ain't seen a woman card dealer before."  He replied, introducing himself as Jasper.

"This is my place."  Emma gestured at the saloon.  "Nobody deals here but me."

Jasper nodded his understanding and slid a paper towards her. "Seen that man?"  He asked.

Emma glanced at the picture of herself dressed in a fine men's suit but maintained her composure.  "Can't say I have. He's rather plain."

Jasper folded the wanted poster and placed it into his black vest pocket.  "He is a plain man." Jasper drawled slowly.  "But I bet he'd make a mighty pretty woman."

Emma extracted her fangs and bared them at the stranger. "It looks like we have a problem here."  She said all senses on alert.

Jasper smiled back with his own two pointy fangs. "It looks like we do."
