Finn's fingers slid from top to bottom on the strings, not forgetting to finger the last part of the song that had written the night before. A heavy sigh took over his lips and finally the last chord was touched. Until then, his eyes had remained closed, only opening up when the noise of a few applause sounded in the environment.
There wasn't as many people as he dreamed of when he was twelve, but at least it was enough for himself. A slight smile was drawn in the corner of the boy's lips, he left slowly the bench, putted the guitar on the case, took the money they had promised and a bottle of soda.
After all, the money was the matter now. Being a musician sucks, and it got worse when there was no certificate to confirm the countless and expensive colleges you should have done to prove how good you really are.
Applause wouldn't pay for the dinner.
Finn kicked a rock on the floor, took another sip of the soda and looked around while walking through the dimly lit alley. Some lights were failing, however, he was sure that he had noticed movement.
The boy narrowed his eyes, trying to focus his vision, so quickly ran and hid behind a trash can. His heart palpitated so strongly that seemed to want to come out of his mouth, however, it was not in a gentle and romantic way that we normally know. It was fear. Finn was scared.
His stomach started to ache and his breathing was unstable. He felt he would have a bad thing at that moment, so the rapid sound of his breathing began to disturb him. Immediately Finn tap his mouth with his hand, wanting to shut himself up, cause knew that the situation would be worse if he started to make some noise.
He shrunk his legs against the body, hugged the guitar case, trying to decrease his size to the maximum that he could. Fear ran in cold blood through his veins and Finn felt gross tears descend upon his face when he heard a gunshot. He didn't knew if it was in someone's body, or if it had hit the ground.
In the moment, he could only think that he had saved his life and the money he had. Finn listened to the footsteps of people distancing themselves in a race, however, it took long enough to get up from the ground.
His legs were shaking, just like his lips. The boy was afraid to look at the end of the alley and find a body. He had to inform the police as fast as he could, even though anonymously. With one hand he held on the strap of the guitar and the other one was hiding in the jacket pocket. In slow steps, Finn distanced himself from the place, until he heard a low groan that, thanks to the lack of people there, echoed in the environment.
Finn felt a shiver climbing through his spine, and at the same time a relief. Slowly looked back and his legs stopped shaking for a moment.
There was a boy there. Apparently he in pain, with his hands on his stomach and, almost like a distress call, he laid his head on the ground. Finn felt his heart racing, it sounded like he was going to collapse. Slowly he let the strap of the guitar go, and with quick steps approached the weak body.
