Pain. My stomach was hurting, though I didn't knew if it was hunger or it was the events of the night before. I still felt my lips burned and the fear dripped from my fingers, spreading like the sweat that descended on my forehead. Gradually my senses returned.
The first on: the smell of hot coffee, wet asphalt flooring and cheap perfume. The second was the audition. I was able to hear whispers, the impatient footsteps of some people, which led me to the conclusion that I was not alone. I heard light steps approaching and my tact had come back, because someone touched a wet and cold cloth over my head.
"Ouch." That's what said after feel the tissue over my left cheek. My eyes opened up slowly, the vision was cloudy at the beginning, I had difficulty getting used to the light, which was even weak.
"Oh!" I heard the person around me say, the voice wasn't stranger. But it was hard to find out who it was.
Slowly I managed to focus my vision in the person front of me, and gradually my memories became strong. Dark hair, as well as his eyes, reddish lips and pale skin, covered by lightweight freckles especially in the cheek region.
"You finally woke up, I was starting to get worried." I was able to identify a slight smile on his lips corner. Why would a stranger be worri- Ah!
In an impulse I stood my face up, so I felt a strong pain in my forehead.
"Fuck..." The dark-haired boy muttered in pain, only then I noticed that my forehead had knocked over his chin, which was beginning to have a red colour.
"I have no money." I spoke fast trying to get up, but my legs failed and the result was a limp body lying down. I don't remember hurting my legs, but my stomach still hurt a lot, just like my head. "He took it all, I swear!"
I tried to get up again, and again, the belly hurt. It was hard to even breathe, I felt suffocated, as if my lungs were trapped in a chain, being tightened until there was no more air to release.
"Hey, easy, calm down..." He tried to say, the boy went down in my direction, and unfortunately I couldn't guess his intentions, I was still very frightened
What was that place? By returning my gaze to the environment I noticed the dark concrete walls, without any kind of painting or anything like that. The only natural light was that of a small window on the top of one of the four walls. The rest, candles. Candles. Candles! I came back my gaze at the dark-haired boy and I pushed away his hands, which so far were on my shoulders.
"Don't touch me!" I spoke aloud and gasping, also pushing my body away.
He sighed heavily, almost impatient, so he stood up. One of your hands went through the hair wires, throwing it back.
"Who are you and where am I?" I asked after I recovered my breath a few seconds later. It seemed like some kind of prison and it tormented me. Had he taken me hostage? Was it a kidnapping? We didn't even have money for that and Chloe... Ugh, I needed to go home to help her.
"If you stay calm, it'll be easier to tell." He mumbled again. I think I pissed him off. Well, he might get tired of me and let me go. I took a deep breath and crossed my arms hoping he would continue. Yet I was still afraid, and I think he could identify it by the way he looked at me afterwards. "You got robbed, didn't you? I was going through the alley when I heard... So I went to help you. You fainted halfway, so I brought you to my house." He shrugged.
What?
Was that his house?
For a moment I felt bad that I suspected so much of the boy, after all, if it were true, he was being a good person. Still, it was kind of weird to have helped me. Maybe he wanted money.
