Come morning Kris was still fast asleep when I woke up. I made breakfast quietly and waited for a while to wake him. I was really uncomfortable with the fact that this was happening but at the same time I knew in my mind it was right. I woke him and handed him his plate of eggs while he was still in bed and he ate silently, the morning was dead silent. He was in his clothes before I had even pulled out my sweats that I was going to wear because I wanted to be comfortable. Finally we left and Kris decided to wait in the car after we'd gotten through the hoard of protesters. I checked in and everything was done in three hours, when Kris finally came to take me to the car. I crawled into the backseat and he kissed my forehead.

"How are you doing?" he asked as we pulled out of the driveway.

"I'm fine, a little tired and a little sore but all in all I think I'll live."

"We'll go home, you can take a nap, and tomorrow we'll visit my parents."

"Sounds like a great plan," I said before falling asleep in the backseat. I woke up god-knows-how-long later and was groggy from the amount of sleep I had received. I sat up and looked to see Kris where my head had been.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine, groggy but alright, how long was I out?"

"Well, you were out like a light when you were in the car, so I'm going to go with about ten hours... It's ten now, so yeah, about ten hours..."

"And you had me asleep on your lap for that amount of time?"

"It's not that bad, you were sleeping pretty hard, as long as I didn't make a sudden movement I figured you were going to stay out."

"Apparently you know my sleeping patterns pretty well; you should've woken me up sooner, though, that way I would have been able to get tired and sleep tonight."

"Well, you've had a relatively exhausting and possibly semi-traumatic experience so I'm sure it won't take much to get you tired again."

"Speaking of, and this has nothing to do with anything at the moment, but I have to pee," I said as I pushed myself off of sofa and went to the bathroom. When I came back suddenly there was food waiting on the counter for both of us.

"Jesus, did I take that long in the bathroom?" I asked as Kris came with both our plates of food to the couch. I sat down and took some and began eating. It was quesadillas and rice but it was more than I could've asked for.

"No, I'm speedy at this. Little do you know I ran to the supermarket, ran back, and made all this by hand in the time it took you to pee."

"You got take out, didn't you?"

"Maybe, what's it to you?"

"Nothing, I'm just amused. Perfect timing for me to leave the room, right?"

"Yeah, pretty much," he laughed slightly and flipped the TV on. I smiled and curled into him and at some point after eating fell asleep again. Kris woke me up and had me stand aside while he pulled the bed out and put the sheets on it. Eventually I got out of my clothes and laid down, he followed, I couldn't fall asleep fast enough, it seemed. My eyes were closed immediately and I woke up to the morning light.

"Morning," I said cheerily. Then remembered that today I was meeting Kris's parents and my stomach immediately knotted. He rose slowly, groaned and made his way to make coffee like a robot. Upon realizing there was no coffee he grunted and dug for the tea. He found it and made a noise of amusement before boiling the water and making himself a cup. He slid back onto the bed and sighed as he woke himself up.
