The next morning I stayed for breakfast and then Kris shuttled me back to the apartment before work.
"Bye," he said, giving me a quick kiss, "I'll see you later."
"See ya later," I smiled and kissed him back, "Have a good day."
"You too, love you."
"Love you more," I got out before he drove away. I went into the apartment and tried to figure out something to busy myself.
"I should really take up a hobby," I said to myself as I sat down and flipped the TV on. I spent the day watching white-trash shows and periodically getting up to fix myself something to eat. It was an incredibly uneventful day to say the least. There was a knocking sound and I got the door for Kris.
"I was thinking all day," he said as he walked in and took my place on the sofa. I sat on him just because I wasn't a fan of losing my seat, "I know I brought it up a couple weeks ago but it is still valid so, do you want to consider moving in with me?"
"If you're comfortable with it I'd love it, but I don't want to be a burden."
"If I'm saying you can move in you aren't a burden. I don't want you to be alone all day, I don't feel comfortable with it. We can sell your furniture to get you a little bit of money for whatever, all of your other personal belongings we'll bring in and if it doesn't fit then we can keep it in the shed. My family really liked you and also it's a good way to see how you can handle all the energy and stuff of a family life constantly. It's refreshing in little bits, but if you can do it 24/7 then it'll be magic."
"I think I'll be fine. When is moving day?"
"That's going to depend on my next day off... Within the next week, probably."
"I'll tell the landlord, just give me a date as soon as you can so I don't mess up and get locked out."
"Will do, now I must get home for dinner before Mother breaks my neck. Leftovers are not taken lightly," he said and kissed me.
"Alright, love you," I said as I walked with him to the door.
"I love you more," he winked at me and left the house. I rolled my eyes in my lonely apartment and got unreasonably excited at the idea of moving out and in with Kris. Although, it seemed weird that at two months he was already asking me to move in, but I wanted to leave bad enough that I wasn't going to question anything. I grabbed my dinner of toast, sat down to the white trash TV, and eventually fell asleep. I spent the next day in and out of boredom naps until finally Kris came over at one in the afternoon.
"I've got boxes and we can move tomorrow," he said.
"Shit! I would've appreciated some earlier notice."
"I'm sorry, the station has been swamped the last couple of days and I've had to work some overtime. Anyway, since I don't have time to list your furniture and stuff yet I'm thinking we just store it and list it when you get settled."
"Why don't we save it? That way if we move somewhere else or whatever we have it and don't have to buy all new stuff."
"That is a very good idea. So your TV, tables, sofa, dresser, and the other appliances that aren't mandatory are going to go in storage."
"You are correct. Just a couple things, just clothes and stuff that I need to move. And toss all the old clothes."
"Why don't you keep a couple of them just for fun," he said and waggled his eye brows.
