Today was the day. The dreadful day where I, Skylynn Grimmings, leave the beautiful town of Fort Bragg, California, to go to a place where God himself doesn't know of... Riverson. The word has mocked me ever since I heard the town leave my mother's mouth. I rolled out of bed, reaching for the alarm clock that was brightly shining a big 6:00 AM. Of course we had to wake up this early, the town is only 9 hours away, I said to myself while adding other sarcastic comments. I slumped my way over to my now almost empty closet and picked out the only thing left which was a pair of light blue jeans, white converse and gray shirt that said CALI on it.

"Honey hurry up, breakfast is ready!" The aroma of bacon filled my senses. Anything on my mind at the moment was now gone and replaced with the need for the fatty food. I rushed down the stupid stairs only to trip on my way down.

"What did I tell you about messing up the house when we have just sold it," my mother yelled..again. It's not my fault that a new step popped out of no where and made me fall... You could say that wasn't exactly the most balanced person out there, but putting all of that aside I quickly devoured the pile of bacon on my plate and rushed back upstairs. Can't wait to see what the rest of the day has to offer me. The amount of sarcasm I use on an everyday basis scares even me. I applied my mascara and eyeliner, brushed my teeth, and took a look around at the blank walls that used to be filled with pictures, and memories of my childhood. I was interrupted by this deep commanding voice from downstairs.

"Skylynn, get down here we have to leave now," My dad yelled. I quickly zipped up my two luggage's and headed into to the car where I would be spending hours in.

"Pumpkin, I know this is all going by so fast for you and that you don't know what's going on right now, but you will soon know... trust me."He whispered as if someone was listening near by. I pondered over his words and whispered back, "Dad tell me one thing... Just tell me why we're leaving."

"I can't."

He went to the front seat of the car and took us off to the life ahead.
