I have always been an anxious person that hid behind a calm facade. These past few days have really shown that part of me that I have been trying to hide. My parents told me last night that I would have to attend school tomorrow, which I'm dreading for. I was in the middle of reading a book when I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in!" I yelled, thinking that it was one of my parents.

"Hey i'm sorry to interrupt you, I was just wondering that since you're new here I could show you around town. Oh by the way i'm Grace." Grace was a short, curvy girl with dirty blonde curly hair. Her eyes were full of hope that I would accept her offer.

"I don't know, it's getting pretty late and we have school tomorrow..." She stood awkwardly by the door, all the hope once in her eyes now filled with disappointment, making me feel guilty.

"But I guess it wouldn't hurt to go out one nigh-" I was cut of by a squeal. I flinched by how loud it was. This is going to be so much fun.

"Yay! I know the perfect place to take you! Hurry up and get ready before they close."

I had no clue where we were going so I just threw on a dark blue sweater with leggings and black boots. Before I could glance at myself in the mirror I was being dragged away by the girl that I have not known for even 5 minutes.

The town was surprisingly much bigger than I thought. We passed by a playground, a hospital of some sort and the schools before finally reaching our destination.

The sign read Jerry's Kitchen in big letters. It was a cute little place with an Italian vintage vibe to it. The smell inside of the restaurant was amazing, and I already knew that I would like it.

"Hey Jerry! It's been a long time since i've last been here" Grace hugs the owner, Jerry, in a tight embrace.

"Mia Cara!  What brings you in today?" His voice was thick with an Italian accent.

"I'm just showing my friend Sky around town today." I don't remember telling her my name, but I guess people where bound to find out who the new girl is.

"Well come sit, I will prepare something special for you."  He later comes back with the best Chicken Alfredo I have ever tasted in my life.

After we ate and said our goodbyes, we started walking back towards the mansion which I now know is apparently called 'the pack house'.

" So about school tomorrow... do you think you can walk me to my classes? I mean you don't have to if you don't want to, I just don't know where everything is and-" I started rambling until Grace's voice stopped me from further embarrassing myself.

"Yeah of course! I hope we'll have classes together."  She smiled warmly. At least I have one friend in this weird town.

Behind the restaurant I saw these two guys in a fight. It was drawing me in for a reason that I cannot explain. I started walking over to the fight unconsciously, not telling Grace that I was leaving.

The guy that was clearly overpowering the other guy, stiffened as I approached them. With one final punch he knocked the guy out. He quickly turned around and pressed me against the wall.

"What are you doing here, get out. Now." He whispers out of his grinding teeth. He takes a deep breath in and out of his perfectly shaped lips. "Look I know that your new here and you might not understand the rules of this part of town, but when someone like me asks someone like you to leave, you leave."

"I'm sorry I didn't know what I was thinking, I'll leave." My eyes were trained on the floor. His presence gave off power that just made me want to comply to whatever he says.

He let me go after studying my 5'4 frame for what seemed like hours, but was only a couple moments. He let out a sigh and backed away from me. My body was yearning to be close to his again. I don't know why I am feeling this way or why I don't feel scared by this guy like any normal human being would.

"Look, i'm sorry about that. Today was a rough day, and I shouldn't have taken it out on you." I could tell that he was regretful by the tone in his voice. I mumbled out a quiet 'it's fine', because honestly I wouldn't mind if he pressed me up against that wall again.

I blame it on teenage hormones.

 "Let's start over. I'm Hayden."

I lifted my eyes and gasped at what I saw.
