Whelp. "The Anthem" turns 5 on August 25. ;w;
I'm putting this up here early cause I just finished it and I felt like showing it to y'all XD
I do wonder if Monstercat is actually going to do anything relating to it tho. I mean, yeah I know they have to deal with the release of Volume 2 of Uncaged oN AUGUST 25, but still. It would be nice to see something to show that the video and song haven't been completely forgotten or abandoned. I'm not saying they have to restart the project or anything no no no no (I mean it would be nice, but the chances of that are almost impossible since the incident with the animators put the animated music video project on hold about 4 years ago and hasn't been heard from since), but maybe just pay homage to the music video since it is going to be a special day for it. And think about it:
If The Anthem wasn't made or if the animated series had actually continued, there's a high chance that there would be no Album Art Story. The albums were redone not only to be updated but so that they could tie into The Anthem, thus creating a 30-album story which allowed certain elements to reappear in the art (yes, I'm looking at you destroyed pod still holding the flash drive in the corner of album 001, No Name's fleet of ships, doorway in the tractor beam room, and alien pods in the mothership that you can't see without turning the brightness down in album 027). Now, of course, I could very well be wrong and the story could have still continue (since we don't really know what the animate series was going to be about. All I can tell is that it looked NOTHING like what the Album Story includes), but I still have that little sneaking suspicion that this could be true, even tho it is a bit of a far-fetched idea.
...wow. I just wrote a 351 word essay about a music video. That's incredible.
