I gave it some thought and decided why not just follow him. After all, it would be hours before the orderly woke up and the guards are probably in their office.
I got up and slipped my shoes on and threw my hair in a pony then ran after him being careful not to close my room door.
When I caught up with him, he was walking outside.
"Wait!" I shout quietly
"Come." He says and keeps waking to the doors.
I catch up to him and grab his arm to stop him
"Are you crazy? We'll get caught if you open the door." I whisper.
"I put toilet paper in the door stopper that way it won't trigger the alarm when I open it." He says smiling.
He then starts walking again to the door. I cup my ears and brace myself for the loud buzzing and flashing lights. But none of that happens. His plan to sabotage the door worked and we were free to go outside.
I walk to the door daring to walk through the threshold.

"Are you coming?" Samuel asks running outside."Its pouring rain!" I laugh in the door way
Outside looked like a pool of water. The grass was overflowed and this was the longest it has ever rained in February.
I look across the yard at Samuel who is now gesturing me to come out. To dare to take the next step into the cold harsh rain.
"Your crazy!" I shout.
"Stop being so dramatic." He laughs
Through the pouring rain I can see that he is wearing a white button up shirt with suspenders. The water had made his shirt seethrough and I took in his complexion. And what a beautiful complexion it was.
"Stop gawking and come here already!" He says, smiling with his beautiful pearly white teeth and perfectly pink plump lips.
I take a deep breath and let my hair down from my hat. Taking The bottom of my floral pink dress I run out to join him. His hand is open and I take it.

"Are you coming?" He asks."Its pouring rain!" I say using my sides.
He walks further out then faces me. His hair and body are drenched. His clothes sticking to his body and his hair messier than before. How is that possible that it still looks like sheer perfection?
"I'll get sick if I go out and get us both caught." I say
"To be caught with you wouldn't be the worst thing." He smiles.
Say no more.
I dash across the doorway and into the pouring rain. The water almost blinding me in the process of reaching him. But when I get closer he holds his hand out for me and I grasp it firmly as if never to let go.

Before I know it, were dancing in the rain. Mud was splashing everywhere but we didn't care. He pulls me in for a long and deep hug that makes me feel so safe and comfortable."Why is it so easy with you?" I ask still hugging him.
"Because we were meant to be." He says, "it's fate."
"But why does fate have to be so cruel to us?"
"You think fate is crule?" He says and pulls me out of the hug. He looks in my eyes, holding both sides of my face. "I love you Seraphina, no matter how many times I have to restart for you, I wouldn't care. Fate is playing in our favor don't you see? Most people feel like there isn't enough time to be in love with someone. But for us, time isn't the problem."
He kisses my forehead and pulls me in and we continue to dance in the rain. And at that moment, I realized that I had fallen for him like raindrops in the pouring rain.

We run towards the woods, not breaking the bind between our hands. My hair seemed like a mop like mess and his just seemed to look perfect. We make it to a tree for shelter and he pushes me against it. He's standing so close to me, our bodies could be touching. But I wouldn't know because of how cold I am.
"Your freezing." He says, wrapping me in his arms.
"Oh yeah no thanks to you." I say slightly shivering.
He doesn't a small chuckle.
"What is this?" I ask him.
"What do you mean?"
"Who are you? I know you know me. Please, just please don't shut me out. I just want to know who we are to each other." I say, he places his forehead against mine and takes a deep breath.
"What do you want to know?" He says after a couple seconds of silence.
"Everything. Starting with what it is that I'm seeing. Is it our past?"
He smiles. "It's our life together. Your remembering us and what we have and what we are."
"What are we?"
"Were soul mates in a way. Drawn to each other always and it will be like that forever."
"What about the terrible things I remember?
"That's the past." He looks slightly away.
"I want to know it."
"Over time, people started to suspect us. Suspect what we were. It was back in the 1600s, people thought you were some sort of witch because they'd never seen you age or die. Out of fear they attacked. There was always something, more like someone, who would let it slip that we aren't natural."
"Who?"
"A dark angel of Lucifer. Set out to destroy me for being in love with a mortal. He's seen that I would do anything and everything to protect you so he sent out two fallen angels to kill you and for me to watch."
"Fallen angels?"
"Yes. Once Lucifer chose to leave Heaven and come to Earth, God had to make a rational decision. Having Lucifer on Earth would cause chaos. A hell on Earth. The deal was that Lucifer rule in the underworld whole his loyal angels and serpents were sent down with him. Some were allowed to walk freely on Earth and do Lucifers evils deeds and spread evil.
God had a away of helping balance that. For the angels who wouldn't allow Lucifer to harm innocent lives, but also didn't agree full heartedly with God himself, were sent to Earth as a way to balance both good and evil. I'm one of the fallen. I wanted to stay on Earth while some of my brother and sister angels were welcome back at the gates of Heaven. I stayed for you and it will be like that forever."I take it all in. Every last word. I question my own sanity for a second.
"How do I know your telling the truth?" I ask after being silent.
"I was hoping you would say that."
Suddenly I feel his arms tighten around me and we shoot up into the sky. The rain feels like hail and I should my face. Then, everything stops and the rain is gone. I look around to see we are in a very familiar spot. Out spot. Where the only light is the moon and the clouds are our ground.
"Oh my God!" I gasp and hold him tighter.
