So you might find no matter how hard you try to keep clean, your room always becomes messy again. Here are some ways to organise your room fast and have lots of fun doing it!

These are my tips:

#1. Get comfy: Make sure you're wearing you're most comfortable clothes when you're cleaning. You don't want to be wearing heels and skinny jeans when you're having to move around a lot. I recommend sweats, leggings and just anything comfy. Put yout hair up so it's out of your face when you are organising otherwise it will always get in the way.

#2. Music: So I find music motivates me to clean faster and I get less bored. Put your favourite songs on a playlist and keep it on shuffle so you don't have to change the song every 5 minutes. Try to avoid slow or sad songs as you will probably clean slower. Fast music= fast cleaning. If you think that motivational music will also help, don't hesitate to put it on!

#3. Turn off all other distractions: DON'T have your laptop, computer, TV, phone, ipod or anything near you. Music is good but if it distracts you, turn it off. If you feel the need to check your notifications because of the sound, shut it down or put it in another room.

#4. Open the curtains: You need lots of light when you are cleaning. It is so much easier to organise when you can see what you are doing.

#5. Pick up everything from the floor: Okay, so I don't know about you, but my floor ALWAYS gets messy. Just move everything off the floor (well except the actual furniture) and depending on what it is place it in boxes, dirty clothes hampers, chuck it out or move it to another room. Also now would be a good time to vacuum.

#6. Pick an area: So when I'm cleaning, I find that I get stressed if I have to clean everything at once. Choose an area and focus on it and nothing else. For example, your desk, wardrobe, bookshelf, set of drawers, bedside table, anything. Don't feel the need to clean anything else, just clean everything from your area by placing it into boxes before dusting and reorganising your area.

#7. Do you really need it?: Ask yourself this question when cleaning. I always find myself wanting to keep everything but you need to make sacrifices if you want an organised room. But trust me, you won't regret it when your room is clean and you know where everything is. I recommend keeping memorabilia, artworks, things that you assosciate with good memories, and anything you really love. Throw out stuff like those old textas that you barely used that still kind of work, or your favourtie hairclip which is broken and you can no longer use.

#8. Take breaks: Do not force yourself to clean continuously and non- stop. A small break every now and then won't hurt- just make sure they're not too long. I think for every hour of cleaning, you should get a ten minute break. Make sure you don't take a break that's longer than ten minutes and if you want to use you're phone or computer, don't go on something where you will get super distracted, I don't recommend going on Wattpad because the books are just too hard to put down, so just briefly scroll through facebook, twitter, tumblr or instagram. Also, the breaks are a perfect time to eat snacks, just make sure you don't eat in your room or it will get dirty again.

#9. Don't get distracted: Okay, so I know one of my earlier tips was about distractions but that was focused on electronic distractions. I don't know about you guys but I get distracted by the weirdest things. When I'm cleaning I always find some old toy, ball, rubix cube, photos, school stuff, book, drawing or ANYTHING. After that, I feel the need to look at it, read it, play with it, etc. This is probably the hardest part of cleaning your room. If it's something like a photo album, a brief look is what I recommend. Do NOT get distracted by this and if you think you will, don't look at it. I know I would always get distracted so I just put it in a box with old stuff, so I can enjoy looking at it after I'm done.

#10. Enjoy a clean room: If you feel like you want to give up on cleaning you room, just remember how nice it will be to have a clean room. Keep this in mind when cleaning and you'll be finished in no time!

So I hope you guys like my first tip. I put a lot of effort into it so I really hope it's helpful. I think I'll be uploading twice a week so make sure to comment, vote and follow. I'd really appreciate it. Also if you want me to do a more detailed tutorial on cleaning something like a desk or junk draw, then just comment. And feel free to comment any tutorials you want me to do in the future!

You guys are awesome. Thanks! (Also, where I live it's spelt organise, not organize) :D
