Chapter 1

(Ella's POV)

"ella hurry up and finish packing so we can leave" my mom Leah yells.

I finished packing my things for are camping trip and got in the car. Im so excited were going to Grand Haven, MI. The weather is supposed to be in the 80's which is perfect for tanning on the beach.

Will my skin is already tan since I'm a werewolf, so is my family. My mom Leah and dad Peter are Alpha's the leaders and strongest of are pack. Me and my brother are both beta's the second strongest in the pack.

Being the alpha's children we have many standards to live up to, too show the rest of the pack that we are proud to be in it.

We are almost to grand haven, i can't wait too set up are camper and site, and take a walk on the board walk into the cute small town. This will be our second time going their.

Were finally here, my dad backs the camper into the spot, we unpack and set up. After we set up me and my younger brother Mark went to go on a walk on the board walk.

Me being a wolf my senses are better than human senses. We were 10 minutes into are walk and i smell other wolf scent. I try to ignore it, but its getting stronger as we continue to walk.

"please tell me you smell that?" i ask Mark.

"trust me, i do, just watch for suspense" Mark tells me.

If another wolf smells us they might think were a threat and well fight, but were just here on a vacation like a normal family. No one else from are pack is here either.

"it's getting stronger maybe we should go back" Mark says while turning around.

"no" i state, while grabbing his arm pulling him back.

"ow" he yells softly.

"sorry" i apologize.

Being a wolf gives you more strength then humans. Males are supposed to be stronger than females. But I'm stronger than Mark.

We continued to walk, then on my side i walked passed this boy. It was his wolf scent. I turn around to look at him, and he's looking right at me with his gentle hazel eyes. I couldn't stop looking at his eyes.

Mark noticed i stopped walking, he turned around and saw it was him. He had dark brown hair and dreamy hazel eyes, around 5'9 for height.

"Ella don't" Mark assumed i was gonna do something.

Which i did, i went up to him. He now knew my scent, so i might as well introduce myself.

"I'm Ella, and I'm here on a vacation with my family, i'm sorry if this is your territory" i explain myself.

"I'm Shane, it's okay, my pack doesn't want to start any trouble with others that don't harm." he tells me.

"what's your pack?" i asked.

"The Grayson Pack, you?" said Shane.

"Hale, what are you?" i asked.

"oh your dad is peter, my dad is friends with yours, and I'm beta one of the sons of an alpha" Shane said with surprise.

"so you already know I'm a beta of an alpha, if you know my dad" i said.

"yea, but i didn't know he had a beautiful daughter" Shane said trying to make me blush.

Of course when Mark heard that he had to butt into the conversation.

"I'm beta Mark, her brother" said Mark in a mad tone.

"mark stop" i complained. I realized his heart rate was going up, if it goes to fast he'll turn into wolf form.

"we gotta go Shane, it was nice meeting you" i tell Shane while i grab Mark.

"bye, see you around" Shane waved.

We made it back to the camper. And my dad notices that Mark is mad.

"what happened?" my dad asked.

"i meet Shane from the Grayson pack, and Mark got too protective" I told my father.

"oh yes i forgot to tell you about them, their nice people" father tells us.

"actually they invited me to come over here and help them with some things" he says.

"so thats why we came on this VACATION" i madly questioned.

"i was gonna tell you" my father says.

We then ate dinner. After dinner i went on my daily 1 mile jog. Us wolfs have to stay in shape. Then i went and took a shower and went to bed.

When i woke up the next morning, i was the first one up. For some reason i had this gut feeling that there was someone outside. This might be weird but i sniffed the air too catch the scent....

It was Shane.
