Y/n's pov
My name is y/n l/n I just moved to the south side from the north side. It's pretty shady here but it's all that we could afford. I live with my three older brothers Josh, Ryan and Caleb and my dad Jake. My mom Samantha was in the military and she died when I was 3. The reason we had to move was because my dad lost his job. He was a lawyer. So then we lost everything including our house and car.
"What the fuck Josh, get off your lazy ass and help us" Caleb yelled. He rolled his eyes and got up anyway.
As I walked back outside I noticed a bunch of people staring at us from across the street. I ignored it and continued what I was doing. "I have to get to work" Josh said and left. "I have an interview" Caleb. "I need to find a job" Ryan said before leaving following my other brothers. "I'm going to the bar we passed earlier" my dad said. Every since he lost his job all he does is drink and get high. Living here will never make him stop.
I was left alone to finish moving all the boxes. "Hey" I looked over and saw the people across the street come over. I smiled. "You just moving in" I black lady asks. "Yeah, I'm y/n l/n nice to meet you" I said. "You from the north side" a cute red head asks. I nodded. "Well were the Gallagher's, I'm Fiona this is Lip, Ian, Debbie, Carl and Liam" said Fiona a tall pretty brunette. I smiled. "I'm Veronica and this is my Kevin" said they black lady gesturing to the tall man beside her. "You want help unpacking everything or bringing stuff in" Lip asks. I nodded and said thanks and we got to work.
It's been three months since we moved here and I've been home alone a lot cause my dad is at the bar and my brothers are all at work. They all have jobs so we can keep the house and won't end up homeless.
School isn't that bad. I'm in the same year as Ian. His girlfriend Mandy too. She's nice probably my best friend, now at least. When I first met her I was referred to as the north side new chick. New chick for short. I still am but only as joke from time to time.
"Hey you wanna come sleep over tonight" Mandy asked during lunch. "Sure but I don't t have any clothes" "that's ok you can borrow some of mine" she said. I nodded. "My brothers will be home I hope you don't mind" she said. That's something we have in common we both have older three older brothers and just a dead beat dad. "That's fine, maybe I can finally met them if you let me" I said. She rolled her eyes and said "yeah well I don't want them to creep you out or anything and to lose you as a friend" I looked at her and laughed reassuring her she couldn't lose me.
"Ryan Gosling is so hot" Mandy says as we were watching the notebook. "Definitely" I say.
I was sitting in Mandy's room waiting for her to be done making our pizza. She told me to wait in here for some reason. She came back and we finished the pizza. "Hey Mandy have you seen the remote" her brother Mickey says barging into her room. "No fuckwad I haven't" she says back. "Who the fuck is this" he asks looking at me. "Y/n and she's off limits" she's says pushing him out of the room.
It was around 11:00pm at night and Mandy got a text from Ian asking to meet up. I let her go because it's her boyfriend. She said she'd be back soon.
She was wrong it was now 1:30am and she still wasn't back. I could have went home and texted Mandy tell her but I wanted to stay incase she came back.
Ten minutes later I got up to go to the bathroom. To get to the bathroom you need to go through her brother Mickeys room. I had went earlier but he wasn't home, it's been hours and I really need to pee.
I walked out of the room and knocked on his door. I don't want to barge in incase he was doing something. There was no answer so I just walked in. I did my business and washed my hands. I looked into the mirror and looked at myself. I was ugly but I wasn't the most beautiful girl. I had h/l h/c and e/c. I was always skinny. Not too skinny to the point were I looked sick. I had b/s boobs.
