Zombies, Why!

Chapter 10

A week passed. After a full week we started to notice that everything started changing on the farm. The animal that my grandparents had left died for no reason. More zombies started showing up to the point where it was getting unsafe. Jenny got sick so we couldn't leave the farm. It was just a normal cold but still didn't want to take the risk of leaving. We had medicine thank god so she was able to take it so we could leave soon because this place wasn't going to hold much longer. The next morning she woke up and was fine I packed my stuff in my book bag I took what food, water, and medicine that I could bring with me but the rest would have to stay sadly. I was hoping if we ever needed to come back that the rest of the medicine and food would be there so I broke the flooring and placed the food and medicine in it then we left. It was getting near November we were wearing our jackets walking down south so it won't be to cold for when winter comes. We found the keys to my Grampa's white truck and then we took off from the farm and headed down from Montana to Arizona. We drove for a 20 miles and then ran out of gas I knew that we were low on gas but I didn't think we're that low. Doesn't matter now we have to keep going. We walked on a street called Bridgestone rd. It was in a subdivision with about 22 houses or so we found a house that seemed to be clear enough to stay for the night. We walked into the smallest house on the street to find a big group of people in the house. They looked at us grabbed there weapons and aimed them at us. I told Jenny to have her hands up. We raised our arms and I told them that we didn't want no trouble and we will get going. They told us well you guys seem like good enough people you didn't try to attack us or try and bite us instantly so you're safe with us for the night if you want we haven't had good company since we left our old camp. We sat down with them there was 2 men and a women. They asked what our names were I told them that my name was Zach and her name was Jenny. I then asked them the same question what is your names. The man said all 3 of there names for them he said that he was Michael and his friends name was Jake and Jakes girlfriends name is Lacey. I repeated there names Michael, Jake, and Lacey. I asked if we could stay with them for a while he said that we were trustworthy enough. If this was like a movie or comic book I would definitely not have asked to join up with them but I'm desperate and I need more people to be with because it's hard to be with just me and Jenny even though she's a huge help we were desperate for some good people let's just hope they are good. They gave us a room in the house and they letted us keep our stuff which is good. We were about to go to sleep for the night when Jenny asked me if I feel like these guys are trustworthy and I told her I wasn't sure yet but let's try to not piss them off.
The next morning Michael knocked on the door softly enough to wake me up. He asked if we were decent I said yah of course we are and then he walked in. He said that he made us some breakfast I haven't really had much food in a while so I was down for it I asked him what he made and he said just some cereal. I was some what disappointed but at the same time I was very relieved that we get to eat breakfast at the same time. I wake Jenny up to go and eat breakfast she was happy hat they had enough food to even give us some even though we had our own. We walked in there and they were sitting in a living room at a coffee table and handed us our bowls. Michael asked where I was headed and I told him that I was headed down south but besides for that I really don't know where at to go. Michael told me that he was headed to a grocery store that his grandparents owned in the state of Oklahoma he said that he's hoping his parents are there and that he was going to try and build it up and build walls around it. I told him sounded like a dream to me he replied with I dream that can come true with a lot of work put into it. I agreed and then asked maybe we could join up with them because we have food water and some medicine. He told me that he would have to talk with the group about it. He sent me back to the room were I slept and made us pack our bags just in case he seemed like a cool enough dude but I don't know about Jake or Lacey. an hour passed and he walked back into the room were Jenny and I was sitting in and he said I got good news and bad news which one do you want to hear first. I said I wanted to hear the good news first he told us that him and his little group decided to let us join with them and that they have a car but the bad news is that they were very low on gas and they wanted us to give our food water and medicine to them. I told him I would give half of what I have just in case. He said that's fine just make sure not to lose the other half. I gave him my half of the supplies and he asked if we had any gas with us and I said no he said if we're lucky enough we can make it about 4 miles down the road but we will need to find gas on our way. Michael said that it's time to go and get ready cause we're leaving in 10 minutes. During that 10 minutes Jake went up to Jenny and I. Jake said that it seems like Michael trusts us but he's going to be watching our backs just in case we try something funny. I told him not to worry about it. Jenny said we wouldn't even dear try to do anything we're good people. Lacey said I guess if your ok with them Jake and Michael then I'm ok with them. Jake said well ok are you guys ready to go then. We replied with yes. We all hopped in this 5 seated car which worked perfect for us. Jake had his shotgun, Michael had his rifle, Lacey had her pistol and a pocket knife, Jenny had her knife and I had my shotgun and knife. We were off down the road about 2 miles were there was a gas station we stopped at it to see if any of the cars had gas still lucky enough we got about 2 gallons. We went inside to check and when Jake opened up the door 7 zombies came running out I aimed my gun at one and it threw it out of my hands Jenny ran up and stabbed it in the head Michael shot 2 in the head Jake shot 3 and Lacey shot 1 we checked if there was anymore in the building it was empty. After we got done checking the building we all headed for the car we filled it up with the gas we had and hopped in. I asked if they knew about the 2 types of zombies and Jake and Michael said you mean 3 types. I was like what do you mean 3 types Michael said there are 3 types of zombies the normals like the ones we just killed the talkers or screamers and the third kind is the stealthy kind the ones that sneak around like a human but instead of stabbing not shooting you it will run up on you with out you noticing it and try to bite the center of your neck. I told him I knew about the 2 kind but I never heard of the stealthy kind. Lacey said that the stealthy kind are more rare to run into but if you see one you better kill it or it will kill you. I told them thanks for letting us know. Jenny asked how many stealthy types have you guys ran into they told us about 5. I asked how many zombies have they killed they said to many and then I asked if they killed any humans and they all looked at me with a scared look on there face and said that they didn't want to talk about it. Since they were so kind I thought maybe it's a touchy subject and if they want to tell me they can later. It's getting late now.
