Two days later, both The Black Pearl and The Dying Gull were docked at Tortuga. It was early in the morning but still the island was dark. Aurora quickly hopped of her ship and began her search of the island. She has never actually been on the soil of Tortuga, her father never allowed it. While Barbossa and he is crew went to the Faithful Bride, Aurora asked drunken pirates if they had seen her father. Most of them slurred to the point she couldn't understand what they were saying or they tried to get her to come home with her. She kept her gun in hand at all times. Despite the port being small, it was crowded with drunken pirates and it wasn't even noon.
By three Aurora was starting to think Barbossa lied to her and that her father was not on the island but then she heard a voice. Not as alive and chipper as it used to be but it had to be Jack. She knew her father's voice anywhere. Even after all these years. She heard it behind her, she turned around and there was a man in a long brown coat, a red bandanna and a captains hat just like her own. Hesitantly she approached him and tapped on his shoulder. She turned around and looked at her.
Instantly he recognized her. He let out a yelp and covered his mouth to conceal any more noises that may come out. Aurora through her arms around her father and hugged him. Jack hugged her back and stroked her long hair. Even after all this time, he still knew his daughter.
"You came back" he said.
"Of course. Sorry it took so long" Jack trembled and and held her tighter.
"Don't worry about a single thing. I'm sure you have good reason. I am just happy to have you back. I've missed you so much!"
"I've missed you too dad"
