Part 1:
1988

"There'll be peace when you are done, lay your weary head to rest... don't you cry..... "
The music stopped and my headphones come right off my ears. "Hey!" I yell and turn to see my twin brother holding my cassette player in his hand. "Come on ass-wipe, we're here!" I turn to look out the window to see a decent house. We get out of the car and start to load every thing out of it.

-

It took us all day, but we got more than half everything out of the boxes. The house was kinda better than I expected. I run downstairs in the kitchen where my parents are. "Where is my room?" I ask rolling my eyes. "The one right across from your brother, in between the bathroom." My mom pointed up stairs. Lucky me.

Sorry, totally forgot to introduce myself. I'm Maggie, junior in high school. My family just moved to Henderson, Nevada. My dads job involves working in many different states so we move houses a lot. Hopefully this is our last one. I never really see my dad except on holidays because of his work. I haul my junk up to my room and start unpacking. At least it was bigger than my old room, but I'm still not psyched that me and my brother have a linked bathroom that we have to share in between ours.
My brother Jake. An annoying piece of shit that I'm stuck with for the rest of my life. He's the better-looking twin and he knows it. So you can say he's like the more popular, stuck-up sibling, while I'm just the moody and very sarcastically rude sibling. He never once had a pimple, he has a big, muscular body, and the girls just run right to him. But he does it all, and rubs it in my damn face. Ugh! I just have a deep hatred for him and it probably will never go away.

-

I wake up the next morning and forget where I am. Then I remembered that we just moved into a completely different house. I slip on my fuzzy slippers and head downstairs. I can already smell the bacon. "Ew." I hear from my brother as I came around the corner. "Good morning sleeping beauty!" My mom says from the stove and I just roll my eyes.
"Hmph... More like infested rat." My brother mumbles under his breath. "Jake!" My mom swats him on the head with a rolled up newspaper. "What did I tell you about calling your sister names?" He rubbed his head, and glared over at me. I giggled giving him the finger while I was behind mom, so only Jake could see me. It's not that often I see Mr. Perfect in trouble.

"Anyways," she trails off setting breakfast on our plates. "How are guys feeling about school tomorrow?" I groan at the thought of school. "Really it's tomorrow? I thought we moved a week before school." Well that fucking sucks. Jake was turning up the box TV on the counter so loud I couldn't even hear myself. "Jake stop that!" I saw reaching over the table, trying to grab the remote. Yep this is our very dysfunctional family. There's just hope it's not like this at my new school tomorrow.
