I woke up and checked my phone, knowing I had fallen asleep.
"Goodnight my angel," it said, "sweet dreams."
I smiled and sent a text, "Good morning!"
It was only seven in the morning and I knew he wasn't awake so I grabbed my laptop and opened up my emails. I had been waiting for my summer assignments to come from my teachers. They were not there so I decided to go back to sleep.
"Good morning. :)" the text rang.
I snatched my phone, "What are you doing awake so early? :)" I replied.
"Just woke up to your text, that's all," the phone vibrated only a minute later.
"Well I'll let you go back to sleep," I texted back.
Within seconds the next text said, "No, it's okay. I'd love to stay up and talk to you. Want to go get breakfast?"
"I'd love to, pick me up in an hour?" I was smiling at my phone.
"Sure thing sugar." he replied.
I got up and turned the shower on, then went to my closet to pick out my outfit. I pulled out a white shirt with a low V-cut neck and three quarter sleeves. The cut had dark blue flowers around it and a tie to close the neck. It was a loose shirt but I enjoyed the way it made me look just a little bit taller. I grabbed my halter neck bralette and pair of light blue skinny jeans and a thong. I hugged them in my arms and grabbed my towel, then went to the bathroom and closed the door. I pulled the sweatshirt off my head and the shorts and underwear I was wearing, then hopped in the shower. The shower was warm on my skin as I put some shampoo in my hair and soap on my body. After I rinsed it out, I put conditioner in and got more excited about the day. Once I rinsed that out, I jumped out and dried off. I wrapped my hair in my towel and flossed and brushed my teeth. I unwrapped my hair to let it dry more and picked up a nude color lipstick. I coated my lips and then grabbed some mascara to extenuate my long eyelashes. By that time, my hair was almost dry so I ran my hair brush through my long hair knowing that it would dry straight.
I walked out of the room and checked my phone and it was seven forty-five. Perfect! I grabbed a small bag to hang off of my shoulder and put my phone in. I snatched my wallet and went down stairs. Ten minutes later, I hear a knock on the door. I jump and run to the door. We both smile and he put his arm out as we walked to the car.
"So where are we going?" I asked.
He opened the door for me and said, "It's a surprise!"
I smiled and watched him get into the car behind the wheel. About seven minutes later, we pulled up to a small cafe hidden underground.
He came to my side and opened my door, as I got out, he took my hand in mine.
"What is this place? How did you find it?" I asked.
He said, "This is where my mom would take us when our father didn't come home the night before."
"Oh," was all I could say.
He stopped and pulled my chin to make me look at him, "Hey, don't feel bad, we all have a story. I want you to look at me like you did before." He looked away, "I only told your family so that they would know I would never hurt you."
I took his cheeks in my hands, turning his head towards me again, "Hey, I look at you with even more amazement than I did before. I just appreciate the fact that you were willing to tell my family that the first time you met them, just so that they'd like you."
He smiled and wrapped his arms around my lower waist, "It may be too early to say this, Piper, but I am already starting to love you."
He pulled away and I stopped him with my arms around his neck and whispered, "I think I am too."
