You were sitting in your own world, relaxing as you sipped your warm beverage carefully so you wouldn't hurt yourself. You looked out your window and saw that it was a lot of snow falling down from the sky and that it was also a lot of it on the ground.
This sight wasn't very uncommon for you as the world you were living in was always snowy and cold. There wasn't any other seasons in your world so the only thing you ever saw was the snowy streets and occasionally the white snowflakes fall from the skies.
At first it was hard to get used to it but later on you started to actually like it so now it didn't bother you as much as it did before. You smiled slightly as you looked out your rather big window,seeing all the people come and go. Your world wasn't very common and not a lot of devil's or god's knew about it so you didn't have a lot of friends.
But it was one devil you had grew an friendship with which surprised you a lot because he was the devil of the fire world. It'll always make you surprised that of all the devil's you could befriend he was the one but it was actually no problem. You had visited his world sometimes which wasn't very fun to you because well you weren't used to the intense heat that was always there.
But you thought you could endure it when you were with him. He was very cold to you at first when you had meet him but after some time when he saw you actually were a very calm devil that wanted no fights between you two he wasn't as cold to you. You actually became one of his closets friend and sometimes when he had business to attend to you helped his underling to take care of his two kids.
You looked down onto your beverage as more memories flooded into your mind but suddenly a sudden realization made it's way into your mind. You haven't actually meet him for a while. Odd. You shrugged your shoulders as you took another careful sip from your mug. You didn't want to contact him first, knowing he has a lot going on right now. You didn't want to seem clingy or annoying.
Just when you had that thought you heard knocking onto your door. You placed your mug onto your small table and walked over to the door, pepping through the peep hole. You were greeted with two familiar yellow eyes looking at you. 'speak of the devil...' you thought for yourself as you opened the door.
"Hi Ivlis" you said with a smile on your lips, feeling happiness blossom within you when you saw the familiar devil. "Hello" he said as he walked in, shaking a little bit which you saw. "Are you freezing? Do you want to me to make you some (hot beverage)?" you asked as you saw him thought for a bit until he nodded, making his way to your small table.
You walked to the kitchen as you started to make what the devil desired. After some minutes you walked back in with a similar mug you had into the living room, giving the fire devil his mug. "Thank you..." he mumbled as he took a sip from his cup. "May i ask why you are here? You don't come by often anymore" you asked as he placed his cup onto the table carefully. "I just needed somewhere to go, i guess" he explained as those yellow orbs of his shifted softly to your window, looking out from it.
"Does it always snow so much here?" he asked, changing the subject quickly so you wouldn't have the time ask any questions. "Well, not all the time really" you started as you felt his eyes shift back to you. "Sometimes it snows a lot more and sometimes it snows less" you continued as you took another sip from your mug but felt it had grown cold now. "But this amount of snowing is normal here" you finished. "It's a very odd hell you guys have here..." he mumbled out. "I heard you" you simply said as you heard a laugh escape from his lips. "You were meant to hear it" he said with a smirk on his lips. "Then why were you talking so quietly?" you asked as he shrugged his shoulders. "Because i felt like it" he simply said.
"But seriously why is it like this?" he asked as he looked outside. "I mean a hell isn't supposed to look like this, it's very out of place and odd" he ranted as he took a glance at you. Now a sudden realization made into his mind when he saw your eyes had shifted emotion suddenly, making the air-head of devil realize that the topic he had a small rant about was sensitive. He was about to say something but you beat him to as with a smile on your lips. "Anyways! Do you want some more?" you asked as you pointed at his mug, seeing it was completely empty. He looked at it, knowing you only asked him to change the subject. "No, it's fine" he spoke as you saw him stand up. "I actually thought about being on my way now" he finished. "Oh... okay" you mumbled out.
You stood up also as you both made your way towards the door, you opening it for him as he walked out. "You should come by more often" you asked with a smile on your lips as Ivlis saw that the unknown emotion he had brought out in your eyes had vanished and he saw those familiar soft eyes he had known for so long was looking at him. "When i get the time, i'll try to come by" he said and you nodded.
"Have a safe trip!" you said as you suddenly hugged the devil, catching him of guard. His first instinct was to push you away but something made him not do it. Something actually made him hug you back hesitantly and softly, making you feel surprise fill your body.
"Sure" he simply said as you both was hugging each other for a while until Ivlis decided to interrupt the silence between you two "And by the way...i'm sorry if i said something stupid... you know how i can be..." he said quietly as he felt he had to swallow his pride but he didn't want to make you upset, knowing that this was the only place he could escape to so for you he'll do this just this one time. "It's fine! You were just curious" you said as you felt his arms tighten around you. Now this was odd. "Still... I know you also are curious about me but you don't ask anything" he mumbled. "I told you it's fine!" you said as you looked up at him, his eyes still being very stern but you saw he had a little bit of regret in them. "Is it really?" he asked and you nodded. "Alright then..." he finished.
You both stopped hugging each other."Well, i'll be on my way then" he said and started to walk away. "Bye" you said as you saw him wave back. You walked into your house once again as you sat down onto your sofa, watching some tv with a dorky smile on your face.
