You were the shy type, no doubt. You had trouble talking with people and expressing yourself in all ways possible. It was hard and it was a bit embarrassing when people noticed you to. That's why you stayed most of the time in the dark, hoping no one would see you and that no one would come up and talk to you.
That's why you also was most of the time locked in your home, afraid to go out and talk with the other residents. You know that they were nice, polite and overall very kind to everyone and everything but just the thought of going outside and talking with them, looking them in the eyes.
It was scary! Scary, scary, scary! It was far to scary! That's why you were in your comfortable little house. Your precious safe zone. Sometimes though you wanted to go outside but when you felt the need to do so you waited until night came and that's when you went out.
No one was outside on the nights so it was the perfect opportunity to be outside and get some fresh air. It was pretty on the nights in this sea to. You could also feel some kind of peace when you were outside in the dark. It was comfortable in some way and plus it was never completely dark in this sea.
But even that was a little bit scary. It had happened that someone was actually outside and you had to take a different way instead, avoiding the person at all costs. You swore, this shyness of yours will be the death of you.
Today though you felt like you wanted to go outside so you went out at a late hour. It was pretty dark now but you didn't mind. You walked and walked and walked until you decided to sit at a bench in the sea of stars. It was actually one of your favorite places to be since no one was really here.
You looked out, hearing nothing but silence around you. It was a common silence. A silence you were used to now. This silence was a bit lonely to be honest...
The silence was interrupted though by footsteps, making you come back to reality. You looked to the side and saw none other than the great sorcerer walking through which made you feel that familiar fast pace in your heart. He's coming here! And there's no way you could run! You saw him look at you and he smiled to you as you saw him quicken his pace slightly. This was the end. The end of you!
He sat beside you and looked at you with a kind and soft look inside his grey orbs. "Hello there" he said with a soft tone to his voice. You only looked at him for a couple of seconds until you looked down and said with a quiet tone to your voice "Hi..." you said.
"May i ask why you are out here at such a late hour?" he asked. "I... just wanted to go for a walk... i guess..." you muttered out as you started to fidget with your hands which the sorcerer saw. "It seems we both had the same idea then" he simply spoke.
Silence loomed over you both for some minutes until Meikai decided to interrupt it once again. "Your name was Y/N, right?" he asked, making you nod. "How did you know?" you asked, turning your head slightly to him and he did the same. "Well, we did talk once" he mentioned. "A-And you remembered?" you asked with a bit of surprise in your voice.
His kind smile grew more. "Of course, how could i not?" he asked, making you feel even more surprise. He remembered someone like you? You thought that you weren't someone people would remember that well... "I don't really see you often though, why's that?" he asked.
You fidgeted with your hands more and you looked down once again. "I-I just have a hard time talking..." you explained. "is that so? I'm sorry to hear that" he said. "It's alright though" he said, making you look up at him again. "I know it must be a hard time to talk when you are as shy as you" he said. You felt slightly flustered by this. "I-It's not that! I-I mean-"
"Well, if it weren't hard you wouldn't lock yourself in your house day after day" he explained. How did he know that!? "But i assure that you could break out from that" he said. "I doubt that" you spoke. "Don't be negative, it will only make things worse" he explained. "I know you can break through that, i can tell that you can" he said.
You looked up at him and he flashed that kind smile again. "I can understand that's something hard but you can if you want to" he said and placed a hand on your shoulder, making you let out a small squeak of surprise but the brown haired sorcerer simply ignored it.
"I know that there is something much more behind that big barrier of shyness" he said with a reassuring tone to his sweet voice. "There is always those who are shy that has the most to say, don't you agree?" he asked. You only looked at him for a bit. "I can see a lot of potential in you but you are to scared to let that out, isn't that right?" he asked.
You felt him move his hand onto your head, ruffling your hair softly and carefully. His touch was so very gentle, so very gentle and soft. His eyes was also as gentle as his touch now and his smile... Or you maybe just thought that since you weren't used to people touching you and looking at you this way. "But it's okay if you don't want to yet, do it when you feel ready" he said and he slowly let his hand slide down your head.
"See, you have kept eye contact with me for 4 minutes now" he said, making you feel immediately flustered and you immediately looked down, making him laugh softly.
"Just remember, everyone has the power to change including you"
