The Great Evilyzer

"Hey Andros," I radioed to the Red and Yellow Rangers down on the planet as I sat in the control room, spinning from side to side on my chair boredly.
"Any sign of Dark Specter?" I asked, TJ walked in the room and I waved a hand in acknowledgement.
"No sign, we're coming back up."
"You got it!" I said before the radio cut off.

Once they were back on the ship, Ashley and Andros told us about Ashley's misbehaving Glider. Carlos decided to check out Andros' just in case.
"This Glider checks out fine."
"It could be that the ray reversed the glider's central ion disseminators." D.E.C.A spoke.
"Possibly." Andros nodded, looking back at his Glider.
"Possibly what?" Ashley asked, clearly not understanding D.E.C.A.
"The ray could have changed the Glider's programming from positive to negative."
"By negative, you mean evil?" Carlos asked.
"Essentially correct." D.E.C.A said and we all looked up at the security camera and the speaker. "A very dangerous prospect."
Ashley, Carlos, Andros and I were all silent as we thought of the effects the ray could have. Carlos broke the silence,
"Let's put it away."
I helped wheel it back into it's bay before heading down the hall and into the lift which took me to the bridge. Carlos was following when we encountered Cassie and TJ coming towards us. They had just left the bridge.
"There's trouble in Angel Grove." They called, marching past us. I looked at Carlos and sighed before turning back around and jogging back to the Glider Bay.

We were running down a street near the building that had been affected. Looking up I saw the monster on the roof of the opposite building.
"Over there!" I called.
However by the time we got to the building the creature was gone.
"He was just here." Cassie said, looking around perplexed. Suxdenly a loud thundering boom could be heard.
"What was that?" Andros asked.
"An Earthquake." TJ suggested.
"It sounds more like footsteps." Cassie replied.
"Big footsteps." Carlos added.
Suddenly, out of nowhere a strange monster with a drill atop his head, charged at us, sending us flying to the side.
"This monster's got some bad manners. Everybody ready to teach him a lesson?"
"Right!"
"Astro blasters." He called and we all pulled them out, firing at the monster, causing him to fall to the ground. He then disappeared."
"Huh? That was easy enough." Andros shrugged. I squinted, as the other Rangers all decided they'd leave as they were wasting their time. I shook my head.
"It's too easy." I whispered. Just as they turned to leave two more monsters jumped in front of them.
"I knew it!" I sighed as I looked at the strange frog and the lobster.
"Two monsters? No problem." Carlos said smugly. Suddenly a roar from behind caused us to turn around.
"What'd you go and say that for?" I complained as another three monsters appeared.
"Everyone stay close, we're surrounded." Andros called. Unfortunately one of the monsters had grown taller than the buildings and was terrorising the city.
"We'll get him later." Andros decided as the other Rangers prepared to fight but I placed my hand on his arm.
"I can handle that one." I then raced backwards and called for the Mystic Megazord.

I fired at the monster but he dodged it and hid behind a building, giggling evilly. I groaned and took out my saber, charging after him. I looked down slightly at the building to my left and saw the Rangers struggling. I looked away and gritted my teeth, focusing on the monster, I raised the Mystic Saber but before I could bring it down, my Zord was captured in a strange blue beam and I couldn't move.
"Andros!" I called out strangledly as suddenly the Mystic Megazord flew up of it's own accord and raced towards buildings, firing at them as it did. I yelled angrily, trying to stop it by reaching for the controls. I cried out as I saw Andros run towards my Zord and consequently get sent flying as a laser hit the building behind him. Suddenly the straps on my seat tightened around me, constricting my hands and my body.
"Andros!" I called desperately as I saw the Astro Megazord stand in front of me. I couldn't do anything as my Zord struck my fellow Rangers.
"Maddi, wgat are you doing? Stop!"
"It's... Not... Me!" I struggled against the binds holding me as I watched horror struck as the Rangers fell backwards.
"R.I.K.I! Stop!" I pleaded. Suddenly I was encompassed by not one but two rays. Suddenly both Rays stopped and I called again for R.I.K.I.
"Sorry about that Maddison. I don't know what came over me."
I sighed in relief as the straps loosened and I could move ths controls again.
"Thank you!" I called to the Rangers and they all cheered.
"Are you okay?" They asked and I gave them a thumbs up. Suddenly from behind them stepped out the monsters we had been fighting before.
"Watch out!" I called and the Rangers turned around, standing next to me.
"Astro-Delta Megazord. Gyro blasters online." The shots hit each monster square in the chsst and they disappeared, only to reappear moments later, cutting short our celebration.
"Activating energy search." Cassie called.
"Cassie, I'm picking up a trace."
"I'm on it Carlos." She replied.
"Got him, right in front of us."
"R.I.K.I, help me out here." I said, still unable to see the monster.
"Of course." Moments later the monster became visible to me too. Unfortunately another one jumped on the Ranger's back. I pulled him off and threw him to thd floor as the Rangers occupied themselves with one of the other monsters.
"You guys have had enough fun!" I called, throwing them to the left and right. I cheered as the Rangers turned on their battleizer mode and used their power punch. All at once the monsters around us collapsed to the ground.
"Awesome!" I laughed as the two Zords high fived.
"If you're on the side of evil, say goodbye!"

Back on the ship I waited in the Glider bay with TJ, chatting quietly about random things as we waited for Ashley and Andros to get back with Ashley's Glider. I laughed at something TJ had said about a planet he'd visited before turning around in surprise as I heard Ashley and Andros arrive.
"We got it!" They cheered.
