Part Four.

Jess' POV

'Father, father, tell me where have you been?' I woke up to my phone going off. The sound of my ringtone hurt slightly, and brought back old memories. "Hello?" I asked tiredly, not bothering to see who was ringing me, or what the time was. "Hey Jess, I'm sorry to disturb you but we thought you should know that Kellin's beginning to remember various things" the familiar voice beamed down the phone. "Really? That's great!" I smiled sadly. "What's wrong" he asked, clearly noticing my distress. "To be honest Gabe, just... everything. I messed up, and you guys have to suffer for my actions" I sighed. At that moment Oli knocked and walked smiling as I gestured for him to wait a moment. "Jess, stop being so hard on yourself, okay? We'll see you soon anyway, I'm not meant to have my phone on" he said softly. "Okay Gabe, thanks" I smiled gratefully even though he couldn't see me. "Bye Jess, take it easy" he replied before hanging up. I put my phone down and smiled nervously at Oli; I may be giving him a chance, but I still get nervous around him. "So, this may be weird, but Ethan is here to see you" he smiled. How did Ethan find me? I look terrible and he's going to question whats going on in my life. I can get away with the minor details I guess. I nodded, and Oli turned around to get Ethan.

A moment later Ethan walked in without Oli and I attempted to smile. "Hey Jess, I was told you were here. What's happened?" he asked as he sat beside me and pulled me into a hug. "Long story Ethan, I don't want to talk about it to be honest" I sighed. "Are you sure? Because you look really ill and I swear if someone hurt you, they'll regret it" he continued. If only he knew. "I'm fine really" I attempted to smile as he sat up. "Okay. I just wanted to come and see how you were. Mum and dad are asking about you, you should come round" he said softly. I shrugged before he looked at me sadly. "They actually wondered where you've been, your room is exactly how you left it, you're always welcome back there, in fact, I've been staying there for a while myself" he suggested. I guess I would feel more comfortable there, but I can't leave right now, not whilst Oli and his mum have been supporting me. "Maybe I'll come by tomorrow" I smiled meekly. "Okay. Please do" he smiled. "Anyway, I need to go, I couldn't stay long. I'll see you later, love you Jess" he said as be stood up. His words hurt slightly, the last person to say they loved me was Kellin, and that was ages ago. I sighed to myself and began to cry no matter how much I blinked away the tears. "Jess! What's wrong?" Oli asked as he walked in. "Nothing Oli I'm fine" I smiled sadly, wiping my face with my sleeve. "No you're not Jess, come here" he replied, holding his arms out. Right now, I didn't care that Oli had helped Russell get to me, because Oli was the only one I could turn to for now. I mean, Vic was a good friend, but he reminds me too much of Kellin, just like the other Sleeping with Sirens guys. "Hey Oli?" I said as I wiped my face with my sleeve. "Yeah?" he replied, still holding me close to him. "Thank you for letting me stay here and everything, but would you be okay with me going to stay with some other people tomorrow? I have nothing against you, it's just that they're worried and stuff" I asked awkwardly. "Of course, I don't own you Jess" he laughed softy, rubbing my arms in comfort. "Thanks" I replied hoarsely. "You should get some more sleep. I reckon you haven't had a lot of it. Just call me if you need me" he smiled softly as he left. As he said, I tried to get back to sleep; it wasn't exactly dark outside, but the sun was going down which told me it was either late afternoon or early evening, but it didn't take long to drift into sleep.

Jesse's POV

Kellin was asleep but he didn't look very peaceful. He was stirring and mumbling, but I couldn't make out anything he was saying. Maybe I should wake him up? There again, what if he's remembering stuff? We need him to get his memory back, and if he is remembering something, it would be best not to wake him up, right? I started thinking about Jess, I wonder how she's doing? This can't be easy for her. I also want to know how she knows Russell; they clearly knew each other, maybe they weren't close, but they definitely knew each other. Suddenly Kellin shot up, his face covered in a thin layer of sweat with his hair sticking to his forehead. "Kellin? You alright?" I asked sympathetically. "Oli. Who's Oli?" he rushed out with concern. "Uh, that's Jess' friend, or, was her friend. You hated him because he tried to hurt her" I replied rather quickly. "Right, I remember" he replied nervously. "Quick question, has any of your childhood and stuff?" I asked with hope. "Actually, I remember a lot of my life before a year ago maybe" he replied with a smile. "Thats good, wait, how long have you remembered?" I asked with a slight laugh. "You were asleep and I woke up in shock and remembered suprisingly quite a lot, including the guys, but still not the girl" he replied sadly. "Hey. I'm sure it'll come back to you" I said, placing my hand on his arm sympahetically. "I really hope so" he laughed sadly. "Well, shall I bring the guys in? They've missed you a lot" I smiled. "Please do" he replied rather happily.

After dragging the guys in they were all smiling with Kellin which was a great feeling, it just sucks that Jess still can't be here. I wonder how she is, maybe I could call Vic and ask, give him the news. Maybe Kellin remembers Vic too? "Hey Kells, do you remember Vic?" I asked questionably. "Yeah, my little Mexican" he laughed. I'm assuming the doctors had figured out that he's beginning to progress because they came in with a smile and a clipboard. "Guys, I'll be back in a moment" I smiled as I turned to leave.

Once outside I pulled my phone out and searched for Vic's contact in my phone. It didn't take long for him to pick up. "Hey Jesse, what's up?" he asked. "Hey, I got some good news about Kellin! He's actually beginning to remember a lot as of recently, and I just thought I'd let you know. He referred to you as 'my little Mexican' with a smile" I laughed. "That's fantastic! Has he... remembered Jess?" he asked with hope. I sighed lightly before shaking my head, realising he couldn't see me. "Unfortunately not, but it shouldn't be long, right?" I replied. He hummed his agreement before silence filled the line. "Anyway, I'd better go, I'll keep you updated. Say hi to Jess for me?" "Okay, thanks Jesse. I'll talk to you soon" "Bye Vic" I hung up and went back into the others who were smiling contently.

Jess' POV

The next day I said goodbye to Oli and his mum after thanking them for the place to stay. They told me if I ever need somewhere to stay that they'll be there for me which I was surprisingly grateful for; Oli may not be my most trusted friend right now, but I can't just drop him from my life, I've known him for too long to do that. I stood outside my parents house, and a ghost of a smile formed on my face. These were really the only people I can turn to; I'm not being a burden to Vic, and the Sleeping with Sirens guys probably want space from me. I went to knock when my phone went off in my pocket indicating a text from Vic.

-just checking you're okay today

-I'm fine Vic. Thanks for asking... how's Kellin?

-well, he's began remembering some people. shouldn't be too long now. Hang in there

-thanks Vic. I'll talk later, about to sort some things out

He didn't reply after that, but I was kind of thankful.

I finally built up the courage to knock on the door, and I was grateful that Ethan opened it. "Jess! Hey, I didn't think you would show" he smiled, throwing his arm around my pale, thin figure. "Well I thought I'd come and see my family for a while" I smiled into his shoulder. "Well mum and dad are in the kitchen" he smiled as he pulled away from me. He threw an arm around my shoulder in a brotherly motion as he shut the door and led me through to where my parents were standing, both looking well and healthy; unlike me then. "Jess! You're back, how long have you been around?" my mum asked, repeating what Ethan had done but with more force and worry. "Not too long. Would it be okay if I come back and stay for a while?" I smiled sadly. "Of course Jess. You know you don't need to ask, we're your family. You'll always have a place here"
