Part Ten.

Jess' POV

After the confrontation with Kellin, my emotions had been all over the place. One minute I would be happy and want to meet up with someone and just socialize in general, but then I would go straight into a bad mood and not want to talk to anyone; it was a sticky situation to say the least. It had been two weeks since I saw him, and I barely left the house since. I thought it would be easy, but I was wrong. However, that was about to change. I was getting ready to meet up with Justin and Jack, because Jesse and Gabe were hanging out with Kellin today. They had promised to take my mind off of it, and that's just what I needed; a distraction. They didn't know I was back at my parents, only Vic knew that, so I was going to meet them at a small park that was between Vic's and my place. I didn't want everyone knowing where I was staying, because I didn't want them to just randomly show up. That wouldn't be too good if I was in a terrible mood.

The time came that I guess I was looking forward to. I was stood outside the park, leant up against a pole whilst waiting for Justin and Jack to show up. There was no doubt in my mind that they were going to cheer me up, because let's face it, they're funny guys. What happened next surprised me entirely. I hadn't noticed them arrive, so when I looked up and noticed Jack and Justin staring at me with wide eyes, I jumped back slightly. "Bloody hell guys!" I yelled as I caught my breath. "Sorry. You were like, in a world of your own" Justin laughed. "You didn't need to scare me though" I whined, giving them both a quick pout. "Sorry. Anyway, we all need to find something to do because standing here is boring" Jack whined. "Yeah. Lead the way."

We ended up collecting a few people on our journeys; we collected Jaime who we miraculously ran in to, along with a few of the All Time Low boys who were here doing god knows what. I think the part of the conversation I picked up on was that they had an interview and then they had something to attend, but I kind of zoned out for that conversation. But I guess having the extra company helped a bit. None of us could decide what to do, but in the end we ended up seeing '22 Jump Street', which I guess was okay. After the film though, Jack from All Time Low was whining about how he 'needed food before he disappeared into the nothingness around us', so we tried finding the closest place that all of us could agree on.

"So how has everyone been?" Alex smiled as he picked at his food. Everyone around the table muttered their responses in one go, whereas I decided to stay quiet. "Why are you guys out here anyway?" Justin asked curiously. "Well we had to come and collect something and we were asked if we would have time for an interview whilst we're here, so that's happening, but we're heading back to Baltimore tonight" he laughed back. I had noticed, but Jack (Barakat), who was sat next to me was giving me a concerned look, and it wasn't until I looked up at him that I saw him staring. "What's wrong?" I asked him, wondering why he was looking at me like this. He shook his head and flashed me a smile before going back to eating his burrito.

Our group had separated seeing as Jack and Alex had to get to their interview, so it was now just myself, Justin, Jack and Jaime walking around aimlessly. Jaime had said he didn't have anything to do, so he asked if he could just stick with us for the day, and obviously we didn't mind. It was actually quite fun; the guys took me to the studio so I could see where they worked on songs, and it was actually quite interesting.

Once I was alone and at home, it was late afternoon I noticed a letter placed on the table beside the front door with my name on it. I was really nervous once I read the first line.

'We have set a date for you to come down and give a description on a Russell James, as we believe we have an idea as to where he could have gone.'

This meant going to discuss the incident, and I would have to go alone, which was something I couldn't do. I couldn't be alone anymore. I sent Vic a message letting him know what I had found out but I didn't keep my phone on hand for a response, instead I went upstairs, took a shower and watched some films, keeping my phone beside me incase Austin needed to get hold of me.

Kellin's POV

Today I was up the hospital with Vic and Jesse; they wanted to do a check up to see how I was getting on, which also meant they were going to want to know how my memory was coming along. "So Kellin, how have you been since you were dismissed" a familiar doctor asked as he started scribbling some stuff onto his sheet on the clipboard that matched everything else in this dull place. "Good" I replied instantly. "Great, any progress?" I simply nodded, because yes, I had made progress, but not as much as I would have liked. "How much roughly?" I looked over to Jesse, silently asking him to answer. "Well, he's made quite a lot actually, there's just a couple of things that haven't come back, but apart from that he's pretty much back to normal" he smiled. He was right; over the past few weeks I'd remembered pretty much everything about the band, about my family and childhood. There were just a few things missing, including Jess and the incident. I was pretty content in the idea that I would remember soon, I just had to.

"Okay, you're free to go" he smiled, leaving Jesse, Vic and I to head back to Vic's car. The second we were outside, our first impulse was to turn our phones on, eager to know if anyone had contacted us through our visit at the hospital. "Oh crap" Vic muttered, "I need to make a quick call, okay?" he rushed out before walking a little distance away from us. "Wait here Kellin" Jesse smiled with a concerned look before following him, so I gave them a little privacy and walked over to the car to wait. I was suddenly hit with a bad feeling; I wasn't entirely sure what it was, but I didn't like it one bit.

Vic's POV

I was a little panicked after seeing the message from Jess, and I wanted to make sure she was okay. I would have told Kellin and Jesse, but that could have caused all kinds of trouble. "Vic, whats up?" Jesse rushed out as he ran up to me. I looked behind him, noticing Kellin leant against my car with his phone in his hands. "Jess. She got a letter about Russell" I sighed, searching for her number on my phone. "Oh, is she okay?" "I'm about to find out" I replied. It rung a few times and there was no answer and I knew she didn't want anyone else knowing where she was staying, so I couldn't exactly go round. I tried again, and this time she picked up. "Hello?"

"Hey, are you okay?"

"Vic? Yeah, I'm fine, why?"

"I was just wondering because, like, the message you sent me."

"Oh yeah, that. I'll be fine."

"You sure? It must be difficult, I'm here if you need me."

"Yeah, I'm sure. Thanks Vic."

"You know, if you want anyone to come down with you, I'd be happy to, just for the support."

"That's nice, thanks. I'll let you know nearer the time though."

"That's fine, anyway, I'd better go, I'm a little busy but I just wanted to make sure you were okay and let you know I'm here if you need to talk or anything."

"Thank you Vic, I really appreciate. I'll let you get on, I'll talk to you soon."

"Okay. See you soon." I hung up and sighed with relief, although I wasn't even aware I was holding my breath."Was she okay?" Jesse asked with a smile. "Yeah, she was fine. Now come on, we'd better get back to Kellin."
