Today I took a midday shift at work. I've never had one at this time of day due to school, but I thought it'd be a good idea to take extra shifts during vacation. There was this woman who I've never seen there before, she must always have the midday shifts. She looked to be in her late thirties or early forties. Her name tag said Rebeca. It was just her and me working the shop and she was constantly eying my every move. I figured I was doing something wrong so I slowed down and went step by step. Everything seemed fine, but she still looked. The manager walked in and looked at me. She gave me a pat on the back and told me to continue the good work. As she said this Rebeca shot me a ferocious glare. If looks could kill, that one would strike me dead.

Today I had another shift with Rebeca and she pulled the same stuff she did yesterday! Is she jealous that there's a new employee? Surely she has better things to do!

Ross came in today to say hi! The shop wasn't too busy at the time so I got to talk to him for like 5 minutes, it was really nice. Rebeca was there again and as usual she was looking at me as if I just killed her dog. It couldn't be that I was talking to Ross instead of working because she had her phone out the whole time.
After work Ruby and I went out with Ross and his friends. We went bowling and I won! I told them about Rebeca and they agreed it was just jealousy. Ross was really sweet, he told me not to worry and to call him if it gets worse. He really is an amazing guy.

At work today, the manager came over to talk to me. She told me that Rebeca saw me slacking off! Looking at me funny was fine, but to try and get me fired was the last straw! I explained to the manager that business was slow at the time and my friend just came by to say hi. This explanation was enough to get me off the hook, but not enough to get Rebeca in trouble. I wish she would just stop. Thankfully today was my last day working midday shifts since we're going back to school on Monday.
