We came back to school today, sadly. I love getting a break from school. But as much as I like breaks, I guess it's good to be back. I get to see my friends on a regular basis instead of constantly having to plan.
Anyway I asked Ross about his birthday. He told me it was fun but casual. He says he isn't that close with anyone here yet so it was mostly family who came to his party. I felt bad, but he said it was alright. He's very close with his family.

Ruby and I went out for ice cream today after school since it's her birthday. Her actual party is on Friday but I wanted to do something special for her on her day. She asked me not to bring Westley to her party, I let her know that I understand. I can tell she doesn't like Westley, she always seems a little upset when I spend time with him. She tells me it's for my own good, that she thinks he treats me badly. I can stand by that opinion, but the good he does is worth dealing with the bad.

Ross and I exchanged numbers today! Honestly, I'm excited about getting closer with him. Since I'm dating one of the toughest guys in school, guys don't usually like to talk to me. But Ross sticks around, even after Westley has confronted him. I'm happy Ross cares about me as much as he seems to.
Ruby's party was really fun! Since we've been friends for so long, I know all her other friends. It was a sleep over party so we spent the time watching movies, chatting about life and midnight snacking!

At about nine thirty today I got a text from Ross asking if I wanted to go to the arcade with him and his friends Drew, Jack and AJ. I didn't know his friends very well, but I accepted the offer. At around one I met them at the arcade. I was ready to kick their butts in every game!
The arcade was really fun. Ross's friends are super cool! We got along so well. I loved spending time with Ross outside of school too. Drew's mom drove us home in her van so I didn't need to call my mom for another ride. When we got to my place, Ross told me that he lived right down the street! I was so excited to hear that, it'll be like being a kid again. Back when all your friends were right down the street. Now everyone is a ten minute drive.
Ross got out of the car with me to walk me to the door, it was so sweet! I've never had anyone do that. Westley has never done that. When my mom saw Ross she got way too excited. She practically screamed at him! She told him what a nice boy he seemed to be then ridiculed me for never bringing Westley home. Part of me never wants my family to meet Westley, they would be worried about me.

Classes switched today, I was pretty happy to be done with algebra. I hate math! I also finished science and social studies. This semester I only have chill classes like art and gym. I do have English this semester but I have it with Ross! I have gym with Westley which is kind of a nightmare. Having classes with Westley is not my favorite thing, he's too overprotective. Class is my break. When he's around, I'm barely allowed to talk to anyone else. I also have art with Ross! Last semester we only had one class together so it's cool to have two now.

Today was the school carnival so I decided it was the perfect time to introduce Ruby to Ross and his friends. It was so nice to see them get along so well. We went to the carnival during the earlier hours since Ross had dance class later.
Ross, AJ, Drew, Jack and I have actually been spending a lot of time together lately. I feel happy for Ross, being the new kid can be tough but he found the right people!

Today before Ross went to dance, I decided to bring a few of my brother's video games over to his house so we could play them. It was actually the first time we hung out without anyone else. We had so much fun, he beat me at most of the games. I think I beat him once at Halo. I remembered the scary movie I brought. I had been begging Tucker to let me have it, but he said I'd be too scared. I stole it and brought it to Ross's house.
Ross shares a room with his brother so I was on the brother's bed while Ross sat on his own. About halfway through I asked if I could sit with Ross on his bed. He said yes so I went over and put my head on his shoulder. The second I got there I realized I wasn't really that scared, I just wanted to be near Ross. But why? I have Westley. The reason is simple, Westley doesn't do this. Ross is compensation for everything Westley refuses. I started to talk to Ross a little.
Me- Thank you.
Him- For what?
Me- This, Westley never wants to do these kinds of things with me. He just brings me to his football games and brings me out with the team.
Him- Why don't you ask him to do these things?
Me- Well he doesn't listen like you
It was nice to finally talk to someone about it, Ross really understands. I talk to Ruby about it too and she's a great friend and all but she just doesn't have the right words like Ross does. She tells me constantly to end it without trying to solve the actual problem. Ross gives me options, I like that.
