It's the beginning of February which means everyone is talking about Valentine's day. This will be my third one with Westley, crazy right? This being our third Valentine's day means we're coming up on our three year anniversary! You see, I'm a little nervous about this Valentine's day. Our first Valentine's day together Westley got me some beautiful flowers and we went out to the movies. But for the second one he merely said that it was too close to our anniversary to bother celebrating.... Our anniversary is in April! I'm hoping he's changed is attitude this time around.

I've been feeling bad for my friends lately, I just can't quit talking about the whole Westley thing. Ross asked if I wanted to go out tonight with the group, but I declined. I don't want to smother them with my problems.

Today I decided to casually bring up Valentine's day to Westley. He told me he wasn't sure since his friend might have a party that night, but he'll see what he can do. I'm still a little hopeful, maybe he can find the time for me.

Ruby and I went to the mall today and I decided to pick Westley up a gift. I got him things like his favorite candy, a jersey of his favorite football player and I even made him a card! I put all the items in a nice green bag for him to open. I'm so excited for him to see it on Monday!

I called Westley today to make plans for Monday. He told me if he doesn't go to the party we can go out bowling! I'm so excited for us to go out, it's gonna be so fun!

Today did not go as planned one bit. After third period I went to meet Westley at his locker as I usually do. I ran over to wish him a happy Valentine's day and give him a hug. He told me he decided he does want to go to the part tonight and that he can't go bowling. He said we could do something on our anniversary instead. I was devastated. I walk to my fourth period in tears. Ross immediately takes notice. He comforted me in all the classes we had together. It made me feel a lot better to know someone cared.

Tonight Ross invited me over to his house for a little bit before he goes out with his date. I guess he's going out with this girl Helen tonight, I think it's just a spur of the moment sort of date. I've never heard him say anything about her.

I arrive to his house. He opens the front door to reveal candles all over the dining room table. He gestures me to sit then returns to the kitchen where he was before. He enters the room again, this time holding two bowls of mac and cheese. The whole thing was so sweet, at least someone did something for me. I'm starting to feel a little unsure about staying with Westley. At first, his good qualities were worth the struggle I had with the bad qualities, but now the bad seems to overpower the good. What do I do now?

In the morning before first period started, I met up with Westley to give him his Valentine's day gift. He looked at me happily then proceeded to tell me that he didn't get me a gift. He said he'll bring one tomorrow. I doubt it.

Westley came into my first period today with the most beautiful flowers, I can't believe he actually got me something! I was so happy and he seemed happy too. Maybe he's starting to turn around for the better.

Today was a big day, I finally got my driver's license! I started Driver's ed in December and now I'm finally done! I can't wait to hit the road and hopefully get a car soon.

I've also been applying for jobs lately too. Since my birthday is so close to the beginning of the school year, I wanted to get back in the swing of things before I went and got a job. Driver's ed also got in the way due to the demanding schedule. I applied to a few stores in the mall and a couple around town so hopefully I can get a job somewhere soon.
