Legion (ON HOLD)

Prologue

Jewel:

Corruption and disease plagued our cities like nothing ever known to man before. No evil had ever been stronger than the ones we saw in our day. The enemies were amongst us, in politicians, in police officers, in teachers and sometimes even in our own parents. There had never been a time in history so cynical. We had learn't of Nazi Germany, of the Cold War, of the regime of Idi Amin in Uganda centuries before this one, but these happenings were nothing like this one, although the similarities were clear. Just like before, the people in power brainwashed and sweet talked civilians into believing that the suffering they experienced was all for their own good - only the woke knew better.

I had spent my whole life right in the midst of the dirt. I had seen betrayal, murder, all the amoral things that could possible come to mind. So much had happened that at times, the idea of a so-called better world seemed like a utopian dream far out of reach but the desperation to get away from the struggle and the unfairness, kept us pushing. 

Only the woke stepped out and secretly tried to find a way out.

A way to a better world.

When I first found her, the one thing I noticed was the look in her eyes. Kind eyes. Something I hadn't seen in a long time. Our world had changed and I believed that there were no more good and honest people in it. She changed this.

Robyn. A pure being with only good in her heart. I was adamant that there was no good in me left until I met her. She brought out the good in me and helped me use my demons to help others in a world that had proven to be so corrupted and dirty.

Robyn.

With her by my side, I was able to achieve the unthinkable. She stretched my mind in ways that it had never been done before, from a young age, I had enclosed myself. I had always been in my own head, never really taking the time to listen to what others had to say because I knew the dangers that came with letting people into my thoughts.

Especially in our world.
