Aiden (Day 6)

I and Tom slept in a hole. Yeah. A hole. The weather was colder than the first few days. I got up and woke Tom. Things were silent between us. Without Jae Eun to translate me, I can't really talk to him. And he doesn't talk to me. We wandered around, hoping to find something to eat. Suddenly, Tom sniffed the air. " Do you smell that?" he asked me. I sniffed the air. I could smell the smoke of a fire. Tom walked toward the smell. I followed him. "You know, I have a feeling you understand me," he said. I nodded. "If you understand me, give me a thumbs up," he said. I gave him a thumbs up. "Woah" he whispered. We continued walking toward the smell. I heard a crackling fire in the distance. A cold wind breezed by, which sent chills across my body. Then Tom stopped. There was a girl in front of us. She was boiling crayfish in a pot. Where'd she get the pot? She turned to look at us. She was wearing glasses, but her eyes were a lime green. She had light brown hair made into a ponytail.

"Hello" she greeted.

"Hey..." Tom said.

"너 이름이 뭐니?" I asked her. I asked for her name.

"My name is Annabella Moretti" she replied.

Wait. Did she understand me? She did. But how? Also, wasn't that one guy's name Micheal Moretti. Was she related to him?

"Firstly, how did you understand him? Secondly, are you related to Micheal Moretti?" Tom asked. It was as if he read my mind.

"Well, I think Micheal Moretti could be my brother but I couldn't remember" she replied. She didn't answer how she could understand me. "Also, this may sound crazy, but I can understand any language but I can only speak English" she answered. No way. She also has that talent!

"나도 그럴 수있어!" I exclaimed.

"You can understand any language too but you can only speak Korean, right?" she asked excitedly. I nodded. We did a high-five together.

"What's your name?" she asked me. Then I was silent. Should I tell her my real name, Aiden? Or Sung Min?

"에이든," I said. I told her my name was Aiden.

"Aiden is a nice name" she replied. I blushed a little.

"Wait a minute, I thought your name was Sung Min?" Tom asked me.

"내 한국 이름이야" I answered.

"Sung Min is his Korean name" Annabella translated.

"Oh," Tom sighed. Tom seemed depressed. He missed Jae Eun. They seemed to like each other. Annabella looked at Amy, whom Tom was carrying.

"What's her name?" she asked. She pointed at Amy.

"Amy" Tom answered. Annabella looked back at her pot of boiling crayfish She took two out gave them to us. I took a bite. This was way better than raw crayfish that move around in your mouth. I ate mine quickly while Tom savored his. The sun was setting. "Sung Min...I mean Aiden. Can you carry Amy for a sec?" he asked me. He handed Amy to me. She was somehow sleeping through this. Tom took a crayfish, removed the shell and fed it to Amy. I don't know if that's safe. Amy woke up and giggled. She somehow liked it. We all smiled. We all went to bed a while later.
