For You- Kim Jonghyun

Where are you, are you still waiting for me? Lily wondered as she walked through the back alleyways he had frequented. 

Why do you continue to do this? Was it because of what my father has said? You know I would never leave you right? I don't care what my father says, I don't what my friends  have said... You... You're the only one for me! She thought to herself as she quickened  her pace. 

"Jonghyun? Are you there?" She asked as her body started to shake, but there was no response. All that was heard was the ominous sound of the wind as it blew through the small cracks of an abandoned hospital.

Lily fell to her knees in utter panic and sorrow. Why is this happening? You can't have run away... You just can't! You can't leave me in a place like this! You can't leave me alone! She thought to herself as she hid her face, afraid that the tears that had threatened to release would do so.

A loud rumbling was heard overhead followed by a violent out pour of rain. Lily glanced up at the sky and mumbled to herself, "I guess it doesn't matter any more... It'll just be like rain..."

"Lily will you come down yet? You're friends are here already" Lily's mother said through the closed doors. Lily sighed as she remembered the events that had occurred the night before... 

Why would I want to go to that concert when he was already gone... There's no way I would be able to enjoy it... Lily thought to herself as she started to put on the dress her friends have given her. 

After a few minutes Lily turned to her mirror and mumbled, " I guess I have to fake it till I make it again."  Shutting her eyes she mentally prepared herself to act happy. 

"Lily are you done yet!" Her friend Kim asked while knocking on the door. Lily soon opened the door and gave her friend a smile she had been rehearsing. 

"I'm sorry I took so long. The lightning kept me up all night and I couldn't really fall asleep" Lily said as she flung her purse over her shoulders and took her friends hand, "Let's go or else we'll be late!"

Kim seemed troubled at the way her friend was acting, but paid it no heed. She smiled back at Lily and ran with her out the door.

The music was deafening, but Lily found it to be comforting. The deafening sounds distracted her from the memories of  Jonghyun. They had promised to run away together, before her father had found out. Lily was locked in her room for days as Jonghyun tried desperately to win her father's approval. Being the tycoon he was, her father sent men to beat him and eventually Jonghyun stopped showing.

Lily feel to her knees remembering the badly bruised and bleeding face Jonghyun showed on the last day she had seen him. His reassuring smile was like a dagger piercing her heart. 

Just then the lights darkened and a familar voice said, "This was a song from a drama my girlfriend and I watched... It reminded us about the oppression we had felt and I wanted to sing it here for her... I love you and I hope you will not waver, Lily.."

Lily widened her eyes as Jonghyun picked the mic up and slowly closed his eyes and sang:

The crowd cheered once Jonghyun was finished, but Lily did not care. Her focus was on the smile Jonghyun was giving her. Everything's going to be alright... I just know it! We can run away together... We can finally be together! She thought to herself as Jonghyun walked towards her.

Bending down on one knee he said, "I know we've had our ups and downs and I know there were so many people against us... I know you probably think I had given up, but you should know better than that! I would never give up on you and that's why I am able to be here right now to ask you the most important question... Will you marry me?"

Tears flowed down Lily's cheeks as she was at a loss for words. She nodded her head and Jonghyun picked her up and kissed her. Her father grinned at the background and turned to Ren, "I guess you were right about him. He truly does love my daughter."

Ren nodded his head, "I'm never wrong. So does that mean you wont send my men after him again?"

Lily's father nodded his head, "Even if I do there's no way to split them up."

~And so they lived happily ever after~
