Walk on Memories- Baekhyun Angst

The softness of these blankets, why did you leave me with these? You should have thrown them away like you did to me. Baekhyun said to himself as he placed his palm on the blankets he had scared with Ha Gin.

The pure white blankets, those pure moments were gone forever...

Why did you leave me? Was I not enough?  What did he have that I did not? I gave you my all, was that nor enough? I know work came in between us, but couldn't we have worked it out together?

Sighing once more,  Baekhyun grabbed the blanketand threw it out the window.

The blanket gently glided through the air until it fell to the muddied street below only to be run over by a fast moving truck. 

Baekhyun stared at the blanket, yes... this is how it is now... you have soiled what was once pure... our love is a clouded, as muddied as that once pure white blanket. It's softness is now rough and torn.

Baekhyun picked up his phone and dialed the number of the man that had always been there for him. Be was the only one supported them, yet he was the one that told him to break up.

"Chanyeol-ah..." Baekhyun said once Chanyeol had picked up. He knew too well his young friend was suffering. He knew too well his friend did not want to perform today.

"Baekhyun-ah, you don't have to perform today,  I can just tell manager-hyung you have a cold! Just rest up!"

Baekhyun shook his head, "I want to let her hear it... it was a song I wrote about her... I want her to know how I felt... then I can finally break from those chains that bind me!" Baekhyun hung up before Chanyeol could reply and grabbed his coat.

The venue was crowded as usual. Fans were carrying signs that depicted their love for him and EXO.

Chanyeol ran up and dragged Baekhyun to the dressing  room. He locked the door and held Baekhyun by his shoulders, "Why did you hang up? I told you to stay home! Do you really want to do this? Do you really want perform and sing that song?! Why would you-"

Baekhyun cut him off by forcefully taking Chanyeol's arm off of his shoulders and said, "You wanted me to start over. You wanted me to get over Gin. I have to let her know how i feel,  then I won't have any regrets!"

Baekhyun unlocked the door and joined the rest of the EXO members on stage.

He took the mic in his hands and closed his eyes to mentally prepare himself to sing the song:

Once the song was finished the crowd erupted in cheer.  Baekhyun's eyes were red, but he smiled towards the crowd and went back stage.

There was a missed call and a voicemail on his phone. Taking a deep breath he listened to Gin's voicemail:

"Baekhyun-ah I heard the song... it... it was a won-wonderful song! B-but I've moved on and so should you! Don't call me... don't look for me anymore! Live on and be happy! I found happiness now! I know you will too! Please forget about me and live happily with another woman.  Good bye!"

Baekhyun closed his eyes and nodded his head, thank you for listening to it... now I can finally move on...

Ha Gin broke down in tears at her bright white hospital room. She held a  handkerchief to her mouth and coughed into it.

Crimson blood dripped from her lips onto the handkerchief.  Yes you should be happy Baekhyun-ah... I was truly glad to have heard that song and your voice. To hear your beautiful voice at the end... it was a miracle,  just like you... I pray you shall always be happy... I will always watch over you... I love you... goodbye..."

The monitor started to beep frantically,  but soon a monotone signal was all that was left.... the curtains gently swayed in the wind...
