School. It's the first day returning from Summer vacation and I have to go to school.
Why did break have to ennnnd? I whine in my head. I wouldn't even consider going if I had a choice.
..But then again, who would?

I'm dreading going to school with every step I take, slowly getting closer to that prison. It is now my first day of high school. My middle school days are now over...
But still, every school feels the same. Like a prison for teenagers. But the difference is you're forced to learn math.

It had been a challenge for me to wake up this morning. My mom had to finally barge in yelling at me as she ripped the blanket from off of me, and opened the curtains to let in light. She swore she heard a hiss come out of me.

I shivered when remembering the horrifying look on my mother's face. She was someone you didn't want to make mad. Her, plus my brother when they were angry, was a match made in hell. Luckily, he isn't in town to get pissed off at me on my first day of school.
I chuckle to myself as I remember the last time I pissed him off with one of my silly little pranks.

I'm so lost in my thoughts, thinking of new ways to prank my brother, that I don't notice a bike speeding my way from the intersection. Whoever was riding didn't seem to notice me either until it was almost too late.

"UWAHH!" The boy yells as he heads straight into the bushes nearby.

"Oh my god!" I exclaim as I process what I had just watched happen. I quickly ran up to where he now lay with his face planted in the dirt.
"Are you okay?!" I lift up the orange-haired boy's head to see if he's still alive, "Ah, wait! Maybe I should move your bike out of the way in case a car comes," I drop his head without thinking, which then again, falls back into the dirt. "Ah sorry, sorry!"
I properly help him up this time as he groans in pain. "I'm so sorry."

The boy finally takes the chance to look at who he'd almost made road-kill out of with his bicycle. And now he is the one apologizing, "N-no, sorry! It was my fault. I should've been paying attention to where I was heading eh heh.." he scratches the back of his neck before checking his watch. "Ah! The time! Sorry, but I've gotta go!" The boy gets up and hops on his bike before I can even say anything more. I didn't even catch his name but I'm assuming he must go to a different school because he was heading in a different direction than I'm headed.
I watch as the spiky orange-haired boy peddles away speedily until he disappears from my sight.

I continue on my route to school for a bit more, not long before noticing a store on the side of the street.

I 'm really craving something sweet. I'll quickly stop inside and then head on my way.

Ah, that smell~.

The store has a strong smell of pork buns as I approach. I almost want to buy one but I realize I probably wouldn't finish it because I was already full off the breakfast mom forced me to wake up an extra 40 minutes early just to eat.

Not too full for sweets though of course

I head down the snack aisle and grab some pocky then head to the register to pay.
"¥190," the man behind the register says.

..He's pretty good looking for an old man. I could feel my cheeks warm up slightly.

I go to grab my wallet from my pocket, panicking a bit when my hand grasps nothing. I hurriedly take my bag off one shoulder to search through the pockets, but no luck. My wallet is nowhere to be found.

I must've left it at home, I sigh.

Slowly looking over towards the man, I can't believe what I am about to do next.
