The boy stared at Winter smiling ,he then sat beside her." Jack,Jack frost". Winters face lit up with recognition." J,Jack,is that really you?". She stutted. Jack screwed up his face trying desperately to remember then it struck him. "Winter?". He said quietly ,suddenly Winter nodded smiling happily she then leaped for him and hugged him tight as if it was their last moments together. Jack hesitated for a moment then began to hug her back closing his eyes softly. And for that moment time seemed to stand still the world had stopped as two long lost companions reunited their friendship for each-other. However their time would not last forever. Suddenly rustling sounded in the bushes behind them Jack pounced upwards and snatched his G-like staff from the side of the tree and clenching it tightly. "Jack, what's wrong". Winter asked nervously her eyes full of panick and fear her body tense and scared. Shortly afterwards a pair of evil yellow eyes emerged from the bush it was Nightmare! she appeared in front of them her sleek body stiff and fearless her eyes showed nothing but light.Then heavy claps pounded on the earth as Nightmare charged straight for them. Jack pushed Winter out the way where she hit the ground nothing but a white flash occurred behind her.As she turned to look she saw Jack fighting Nightmare off. "Winter, run!". Jack shouted before been knocked to the ground.Winter quickly staggered to her feet, pulling up her dress in order to run,when all of a sudden loud thumping noises coming from behind her she then let out a yelp as she too was knocked to the ground. The evil horse drew closer to her catching her gaze Winter held her breath forever holding its stare. Before long a white flash like lightning struck Nightmare on the side she neighed violently as she went down. Jack imeaditly rushed to Winters side his eyes full of fight." Don't you dare touch her." He hissed his voice serious. Suddenly there was a break in the wind making Nightmare cower shortly before she ran back into the forest." What was that all about?". Winter asked but found no reply from Jack, he turned to face her their eyes both meeting with one question Jack seemed stunned by the events that had just happened. "We have to go...Now". He whispered. Winter sensed the fear in his voice but still she never questioned his actions. "Jack where are we going?". She asked her voice shaken. Jack gave her a long stare then put his pale hand out in front of him and without hesitation she took it. His hands were colder than ice itself. More rustling came from behind them as they ran further through the trees Jack was constantly glancing over his shoulder checking they were safe.
The sun arose the next morning as Winter awoke her fragile eyes were full of light. Her breathes soft and sweet as she saw Jack who lay beside her asleep." He must have been guarding me all night". She thought to herself smirking she crawled over next him ,her eyes lay Steady on him as he slept. She raised her hand making it hover over him for a moment before gently stroking his hair. Jack leaped up in panick." Ahh,oh Winter it's just you, geez don't do that!. He gasped Winter giggled at the sight of his distress. She placed a hand to her mouth and laughed then after a while Jack began to laugh with her." This is great I wish it could be like this all the time". She said joyfully. They both were soon caught in a stare as Jack's icy eyes met Winters." Come on I want to show you something". He said calmly. Winter stood up her blue glisternig dress dropped flawlessly to the ground. Winter gasped in amazement as her and Jack climbed to the top of an mighty oak tree the bark strong and fresh, the branches thick and hard. Jack placed his hands over her eyes as they climbed one more branch." Are you ready". He asked not letting Winter reply before removing his hands. Winters eyes flew open shining beautifully as the rays of Sun struck them."Aww Jack it's beautiful". She whispered a friendly smile spread across he face. "So what now?". Jack asked Winters face went from peacefull to disturbed and she began to look at him in a confused way.
"About what?". She replied." About Nightmare". He added Winter looked at him knowingly." Jack don't sorry we can take her". She said confidently." No Winter you don't understand Nightmare works for....". He paused now the light was gone from his eyes and his cold hands flinched. "Who, Jack who does she work for?". Winter pressed her comic hard Jack looked at her with shame as his eyes met hers. "Pitch". He mumbled clearly.
