Jack's eyes scanned the area in a desperate search to find Winter." Winter,Winter!". He shouted but each time he found no reply. When the smoke cleared just him and the guardians were there. Jack's eyes filled with sadness as small blue tears ran down his cold, pale face. Tooth immediately rushed over to him her breaths were more of a gasp as she knelt down beside him and placed her hand on his shoulder, her multi-coloured feathers drifted softly in the small breaks of wind." Jack?". She whispered, her voice seemed gentle and caring posing no threat to Jack's sad environment. He turned his head in a short glance to see her face. Sandy also appeared by his side like Tooth he too was trying to offer his best comforts but at this moment in time no matter how much comfort he had it just wasn't simply enough to get Winter back." Jack..are you ok". North asked even though he already knew the answer. Jack however remained silent his tearfully eyes staring down at the floor. Then his body responded immediately at one large gust of wind. "No, I'm not ok I need to get Winter back". Jack said his voice was full of determination as he spoke. But before any of the guardians could speak Jack flew off into the distance leaving the guardians with constant worry and young Summer confused as they watched as he fly away.

Later that night Jack sat a fallen tree that lay stretched far from the lake, the very tree that he and Winter first met in their new lives and where they reunited their friendship for one another.

As he sat there undisturbed and completely oblivious to everything around him. "Winter". He muttered softly his voice a mixture of pain and loss his pale hands were now hidden deep within his pockets, his white hair disguised by his dark blue hoodie with only a few white hairs from his fringe appearing from it. Then the bushes behind him started to rustle and Jack was instantly on guard his snatched his staff and clenched it tight as the noise in the bushes seemed forever moving...until,a dark, tall man appeared from the Bush his long black robe hung loose behind him and trailed slowly amongst the earth. "Hello Jack". The man said,it didn't take long for Jack to recognise the man. It was Pitch!. He stood there with a slight smerk on his face his long arms hidden behind him as he soon began to move forward. "Pitch, what have you done to Winter". He said not realising his grip was loosening. Pitch looked at him with pity his golden yellow eyes full of darkness.
