Abbie's Perspective:
Oh my gosh! The first day of sixth grade was finally here! I crossed the cool blacktop towards my homeroom class, Ms. Zevin, to find my best friend Hannah waiting for me.
"Hannah!" I hugged her. "How was your summer?!"
She smiled. "Great, Abbie. How was yours?" She asked, calmly. I really could never figure out how she could always be so calm, even in the situations where most people are majorly hyped.
We talked about our overly similar boring summers, until the bell rang. Homeroom was pretty decent, and Ms. Zevin seemed really nice. Hannah wasn't in my homeroom, but she was in my actual class with Ms. Zevin.
Sadly, I wouldn't be getting Ms. Flores, the other teacher, this year.
In Ms. Zevin's actual class, she explained her teaching backstory, and what subjects she focused on more than other things.
I sat next to a really annoying kid, Caden, and sadly enough, my ex boyfriend Hunter, and his friends, Diego, Nick, and...wait, was that JIRO?! Oh my freaking gosh how did he get so hot all of a sudden?!
Wait, Abbie, you have a freaking boyfriend for gods sake. But he goes to another school. I never see him anyway I might as well break- My thoughts were cut off by Nick and his non-existent hairline, surprise surprise, interrupting my work, again.
"Abbie Abbie Abbie," he whispered consistently.
I gave him the eyes of pure death.
"What. The. Hell. Do. You. Want," I responded, gritting my teeth down to the gums.
"I have news about Hunter, and it's not all positive," he explained.
Anything about my ex I could get was like pure gold, because I really hated him, and I was sure he hated me.
"Ok, tell me already, stop stalling," I whispered.
"He wanna get back wit youuuu," he said, trying to speak gangster or whatever you call it.
Yeah, Hunter and I getting back together? Hell no, that would never work. Besides, I have a boyfriend to break up with, and a possible future freaking soulmate to think about now....also, how have I never noticed how hot some people (Jiro) are? Seriously, it's been two years since we've met!
