Behind A Dumpster?

Jiro's POV:
"Hush child," a voice whispered. It was my bestest friend ever, Ashleigh. We were hiding behind a dumpster in back of our Multi Purpose Room at school.
Ashleigh was a kinda short, blonde, absolutely gorgeous senior in high school, but she was also Abbie's older sister. Even though I wasn't in love with her, I understood how Abbie and her were related.
Now, you may be wondering why a senior and a sixth grader are hiding behind a dumpster, or why they're even friends, but even though our friendship was a long story, I can explain about the hiding part.
It had all started at lunch, when Hunter had guessed that I like Abbie, he started almost yelling it to the whole cafeteria. I texted Ash about it, and she created a plan to get him back. Hunter secretly still liked his ex, Taylor, so we were going to do something about it.
Ashleigh had the day off, so she made these giant signs that said in bright neon letters, "HUNTER STILL LIKES TAYLOR!" and we'd start yelling it as well.
Since a lot of students walked our way home, we decided to start jumping out screaming it after school.
After the bell rang, we waited for 30 minutes. No one was coming our way, except...Abbie and Hunter?! Why were they together?!? THEY WERE HOLDING FREAKING HANDS.
Ash looked at me. "Jiro..I'm so sorry. I thought he still liked Taylor..." she said.
"So did I," I replied. Her face fell.
"Didn't you know Ben and her broke up? She's single now, and apparently ready to mingle," she continued with a small, sad laugh.
"Yeah. I'm sorry you had to spend your day like this...just go home," I told her.
"No, I'm going to figure this out, I can't let them do this," she said, obviously determined to do something about it.
All of a sudden, my friend Diego popped around the corner, loudly wondering, "WHY ARE YOU GUYS BACK HERE?!"
Abbie and Hunter turned our way, but didn't see us. They got back to their little "affair," when Ash told him to shut up.
She quickly explained the situation, and we all got up and left when the new couple disappeared.
I went home, and I felt like crap the rest of the day.
Nobody loves me. I'll never have a chance with someone as beautiful as her, but of course someone as good-looking as Hunter could get away with a girl like her.
My phone buzzed. It was Ash.
AshB😉: jiro omgggg
Me: wat
AshB😉:Abbie and Hunter aren't actually dating
Me:WAT
AshB😉:yeaahhhhh ima hook you up homiiieee😏😏😏😏
Me: ahaha ok who does she like
AshB😉:she won't tell me but it's someone it the Yeet Squad.....
Welllllllll life might have just got a heck of a lot better.
I wonder who in the Yeet Squad she likes..
