Playing It Fake

Abbie's POV:
August 31, 2017.
It's a Thursday, and my sister Ashleigh has the day off, so she'll be picking me up from school today. A lot of drama has gone down between the twins and the Yeet Squad since the first day, what and why I really don't know.
Apparently the twins liked people in the Yeet Squad and the Yeet Squad didn't like that so this whole diss track got dropped or something....I really don't know for sure though.
Everything with Jiro seems to be going ok I guess. I don't know if he likes me, and I don't think he does. In fact, I think Hunter still likes me? I needed to keep Hunter happy, but make Jiro jealous somehow, since they're best friends.
It was in history that something in my mind totally clicked. I could fake-date Hunter to make Jiro jealous!
I looked over at my elbow partner, Nick, and whispered,"Nick, does Hunter still want to get back with me?"
He nodded a quick yes, before Ms. Zevin yelled,"NICHOLAS, GET BACK TO WORK!"
During lunch, I practically olympic-medal worthy sprinted to Hunter.
"Oh. My. Gosh. Hunter," I panted. "Date me."
Hunter's mouth dropped.
"I though you'd never ask," he gaped.
The rest of the day went well, not much PDA was exchanged (thankfully), but Jiro obviously knew what was going on between us.
My plan was working! Hunter was happy, and I think Jiro was internally screaming in jealousy.
After school, Hunter and I walked out together, hand in hand, around the MPR where a giant dumpster was stored. No one was back here for some reason, usually people are.
   We were talking about the math homework for tonight, when I heard someone yell,"WHY ARE YOU BACK HERE?!" and a couple of rushed whispers. The yeller sounded like Diego, and that was the most possible person. Diego was a decently loud guy, but he was nice and I'm sure he didn't mean to be super loud.
I decided to let it all go, and get back to my conversation with Hunter.
A few minutes later, we reached where Ash would be picking me up, but for some reason she wasn't here, though her car was.
Hunter saw that she wasn't in the car, and decided to wait and stay with me until she returned, so I wasn't lonely.
I actually started to miss dating him. He was always sweet like this.
15 minutes later, Ashleigh returned to her car, finally. It seemed like an eternity, so I gave her my death stare. Her eyes gave me a glance of apology, and I figured she'd explain it to me soon.
I hugged Hunter goodbye, and got into her '68 Camaro.
She gave me a whole explanation over how she had to help Jiro with something.
I didn't pay attention to whatever else she was saying, because after she said Jiro, all I could do was zone out and think about how much I wished we were together.
When we reached home, she then realized I looked a bit different, and that I was blushing, like, a lot.
"Abbie, why do you look in love?" she wondered, the smirk on her lips stretching all the way across her face.
After awhile of asking, I finally broke. I told her everything, about how I was fake dating Hunter to make Jiro jealous, and how I broke up with Ben for him, then she promised to not tell anyone.
I did my math homework, and texted Hunter for awhile before dinner. I ate dinner with my dad, stepmom, and sisters, then retreated to my room to shower and prepare for the coming day.
Around 11:15, I checked my Snapchat before I went to bed, only to find everyone's 11:11's. Hunter tagged me with a heart, and Jiro tagged me, but then tagged someone as @Her😻❤️. If he tagged me and whoever her is, it couldn't be me. It couldn't.
I fell asleep that night wrapped in my fluffy white blanket, trying to figure out who 'her' could be.
