"What's this I hear about Kamino" Rex said walking into the briefing room with Zeb at his side
"Rebel intel has reported a low amount of imperial's given the importance of the place and that Imperial troops are being killed. They also think there could be some sort of hidden base, home too a rebel cell maybe--"
"There is no maybe about the hidden base" Rex says cutting commander soto off
"Rex, he wasn't finished" Ahsoka says scoldingly
"My apologies, but I know there is no maybe about the base, that base, hideout is not charted, It's at the bottom of the sea floor." Rex says fidgeting with his armor
"How do you know this, you weren't on the exploit team" Sato says Rex mumbled something under his breath.
"Repeat that captain" Kanan says
"It's none of your business" Rex says
"Rex, I know this may be a bit personal for you, but that base could help us in the long run, we think it's loaded with supplies, Will you please tell us how you knew about it" Ahsoka says approaching the captain
"All clones know about it, not many remember it's location, Kimmino's grid base changes a lot" Rex says
"That doesn't exactly help us Rex" Hera says
"It's not just a base anymore, it's a clone sanctuary now, sanctuary for the clones who were unfit for the clone wars and now, probably a sanctuary for those who didn't obey order 66 and had nowhere else to go. It can help us" Rex says
"Then let's go find it" Ezra says
"It's not easy to find. Actually it's damn near impossible to find" Rex says " if you want it you can't find it but when you need it it is there, but once you go there once, you can always find it again."
"We have too find it and the rebel cell there, we need those men as allies" Sato says
"This was the caring home of clones in need, this was why we clones were so attached too kamino, in this facility we weren't just another number, not just a clone bread too fight and die, we were individuals" Rex says "I'm volunteering for this mission you will need my help too get in and find it, I have been there before I can find it with ease."
"Captain sadula I am assigning you to this mission, and it is Ahsoka's turn to lead a mission, she will go along. I think because of your attitude,Rex you're staying here" Sato says
"With all due respect," Rex says "You will not find that base without me and you will not get inside without me"
"He's right" Kanan says "if it's a clone haven then it makes sense that only a clone would be able to locate and enter it. Rex is a clone so he has too come"
"Fine, but it's still Ahsoka's mission" Sato says
"Sir, yes, sir" Rex says
"You're dismissed, ghost crew" Sato says and the ghost crew, and rex and Ahsoka begin making their way to the ghost.
"That was very uncalled for rex" Ahsoka says
"I know, I know. You know how I get about home" Rex says "If the empire was too ever find-"
"They won't find it, not if we find it first" Ahsoka says
"The place is called reconditioning" Rex says
"Wait isn't that where jedi send clones too-"
"Be killed, that was just a lie too cover up the truth, there was a Jedi Master behind this all, she was the closest we clones had too a parent" Rex says "she's most likely dead"
"That couldn't of been easy telling us about it" Sabine says sitting next to Rex as they get on the ghost
"No, it wasn't, Reconditioning is a place i want to protect" Rex says
"That was you're home wasn't it?" Ezra asks
"Yes" Rex says
"So this is like going home for you?" the boy says
"Yeah...home" rex says glancing out the cockpit window. Hera was just now pulling the hyperspace lever
"What is Kimino like?" Ezra asks
"Kamino, well it was the cloning planet, there wasn't much too it, we had the protocol to never go outside as cadets, Of course that never stopped Cody and I, We liked to go out of the deck with some of the older clones and even the Jedi over seeing us. Our squad mates didn't really like that. It rained on Kamino. Alot. I don't remember one day it wasn't raining, there is no land there, only building built above the sea and the hidden base build under it, under the oversea buildings there lies a labyrinth of tunnels that only have one entrance. The entrance is inside the cloning building and it to is hidden. The cloning factory is in the capital city of Tipoca. There is a myth that used to circulate through the squads saying that sirens lived under the seas, but no one ever found proof of that." Rex says
"Rex don't scare him" Kanan says
"After the clone wars ended they shut down the factories, so there most likely be anyone there" Rex says "now the safe haven... kriff I don't know how too begin, it was an amazing place, like the jedi temple beautiful but a living place, it makes you not want too leave it, it's peaceful and relaxing. You'll have too see it with your own eyes. I can't really explain it."
"Rex, We need to make the plan for getting there" Ahsoka says standing
"Right Commander" Rex says getting up "We'll fill you in when we're finished" he then follows ahsoka out of the cockpit and too Kanan and his shared room.
