The glow of my computer screen lit up my dark room at 12:00 at night.

Dating.com loaded up on the screen. I looked at my news feed. Still empty. After I let out a small sigh I looked at my small dog laying on the end of my bed.
"So, Mister, What should I do? I can't sleep and I can't smoke in my room. Sneak out?"
I grinned at my small dog as his ears perked up at the words 'sneak out'. He let out a small bark and wagged his stubby tail. I giggled and leaned over to pick him up, when a quiet 'beep' came from my computer speakers. I had gotten a message from someone on the website. It read: "Hey Darling, didn't know you'd be on a dating website ;) -Luke" What. The. Fuck. How does Luke know my username? Maybe it's just a coincidence. Maybe that isn't even the Luke I know and hate.
"I can do whatever I want, and who the hell are you."
My response was read quickly but no other message came. How stupid of me, thinking it was Luke. Luke Chandler, the boy I hate. He hates me, too. I wouldn't expect him to look me up on a dating website. Gosh, Kristen. Get your head together.
'Beep'
My eyes fell upon my inbox again. One new message. My fingers automatically moved to click on it, but I had to make myself stop. What if it wasn't him. What if it was some weirdo that thought I would like them because of their name. I clicked the message anyway, my curiosity taking over.
"Hey now, that's no way to treat an old friend Darling. 😉 Come on, you know who it is. It's Luke C. the man you love. 😋"
Figures. I snorted. Love? No. Hate? Now that's more like it. He's the only one with the guts to call me 'Darling' anyway. I should've known. Gods, he's such a player. Always flirting with everyone.
"That counts as harassment, asshole. I should just report you right now and have your account deleted."
"I'll make a new one."
"And I'll block it. You know I hate you. Fuck off. I'm actually trying to socialize."
Something pelted my window and Mister jerked his head up as another made it's mark. Shutting my computer, I got up and walked over to my window, opening the curtains. I saw a boy standing outside my house holding a phone to light his face and pebbles in his hand. I let out a grunt.
"Go away, Luke!"
I heard a chuckle come from the ground.
"Not in your wildest dreams. Come on."
Another pebble bounced off the screen of my window. I sighed while holding back a laugh. I hated him, yeah. But that didn't stop me from having fun, and this looked to be an interesting adventure.
"Hold on. You're not pulling my leg are you? I'd better not show up down there and not see you. Where would you be taking me, anyway?"
He looked up at me and grinned.
"A party."
Of course. A party. He can't show up without a girl. Although I doubt he would be able to leave without one. I ran to my closet throwing off my batman pajamas and grabbing a black lace dress and denim jacket, pulling them on and running to the bathroom. I decided on light makup, since it would seem that I actually tried if i put on a lot. Pink lipstick, mascara, and a light application of brown eyeliner was all I put on. Pulling on some black flats, I was glad I had shaved yesterday. Yuck. Even though I hated him, that would be embarassing. Shuffling down the stairs quietly I grabbed my blue shoulder bag and slipped out the door to my driveway, where Luke was standing.
