I wake up to my phone vibrating loudly on my bedside table. I squint into the bright light the phone gives off. It's only four in the morning. I see a text from Meghan. I suddenly jump out of bed. I had that stupid Playlist Live thing that Meg has been ranting about for ages today. I jump up and quickly get in the shower. I only have thirty minutes to shower, get dressed, and apply semi- okay makeup. I'm not into this whole "youtubers" thing but meg is obsessed. For her birthday last year I got her tickets for Playlist. They were expensive, but for her 16 birthday, I felt it was perfect. She hasn't shut up about it since the day I gave her the tickets. I put on concealer, bb cream, and mascara and in good to go. I wear my lace skater dress with combat boots so people don't mistaken me for girly. I grab my purse and dash out the door.

"Hey Hun!" I say as meg hops in the car. She looks a little agitated that I was 5 minutes late but she'll get over it. Though she was frustrated and it was only 4:30 am she was smiling so huge my own cheeks hurt. "Ready for playlist?" I ask. I'm not enthusiastic but I fake it for her sake. "Does a tree make a sound when it falls in the woods?" She asks. ".....no. It doesn't..." I say. "WRONG ANSWER!" she screams in my ear. I laugh. Meg will make it tolerable but today is going to be long.
