"Yes?" I ask. I'm not going to give him the satisfaction of showing him I'm happy he chased me down. My mind starts to race as to why he's flagging me down. Then I mentally cringe at the idea that I left my wallet or phone on the table and he is just trying to return it. That would be very awkward. But he says to me, " So I noticed you didn't get Zoe's autograph." I don't know how to respond. Be honest and say I don't watch her videos so it would be a waste of sharpie. That would be a little rude. So I say, "this was a birthday gift for my friend meg here." I gesture to Meg and see her face beet red beside me, "so I was going to let her enjoy the moment." I say. It sounds like a weak comment, but the alternative was too strongly opinioned. "Oh okay." He says still with a smile. "Then here," he pulls a sharpie out of his button down pocket and signs Megs shirt. She looks at him with awe. "Th-thank you!" She mutters. I smile a 'thank you' smile at Joe. He gives me softer smile. One of 'your welcome'. I turn away to leave when I feel Joe's hand on my shoulder. "Here, you can have some fun too you know." he winks as he takes my hand. He uses the sharpie and autographs his name.

I'm a little mad that he just used my hand as paper. I am sure he is at the table and out of eyeshot before I look down at my hand. What he left for me was what must have been his number.

"IS THAT JOE FUCKING SUGGS NUMBER?!?!?!?!" Meg screams when we get into the car. She must have seen it when I put the car in drive. "Uh yea." "UH YEA? THATS WHAT YOU SAY?" I chuckle to myself and shrug. "I guess that is what I say. I don't know meg. He just seems like a player. And players have girlfriends." "But Kelsey, that's the thing. He DOESNT have a girlfriend. He's not a player. All the girls fall for his looks but they don't usually find his funny looks and tendencies to be boyfriend material." when she talks about the faces he pulls and the jokes he says I can't help but smile. At first they were a little off-putting. But they grew on me. I just figured that's what they do to everyone else. I don't think I have a crush on him. I certainly don't like him. But maybe I will try to get to know him better. I mean, he did leave me his phone number with a smiley face.
