"Thank you." I say solemnly to Joe. I was feeling guilt that he paid.
"Oh my goodness, Kelsey! I paid for your dinner! It's not like I paid for your surgery. Although I would pay for that too." He says as he shoots me a wink. I grin.
"Okay but I'm paying next time."
"Oooh there's going to be a next time?" He puts his arm around me.
"That depends on the rest of the night."
"Are you hinting something?" Joe asks.
"I don't know. Am I?" I ask back.
" Don't play mind games Kelsey. It's hard for blondes." I laugh outright.

Wow. She's amazing. I'm so fortunate she came to the signing. I have to thank her friend. I owe her. It's not usually my way to hook up with a girl on the first date. Especially when I like her. Oh my God, I like her! Oh no. This is a serious problem. She's friends with Zoe. She lives in America. I banged her on the first maybe-date! Oh my God, it might not have even been a date! I'm screwed. I'm not a gentleman! There's so much baggage we're carrying.
