The ogre quickly reaches out to me and lifts up my cloak, taking me by surprise.

"Human!" The ogre yells at the top of his lungs. Suddenly everything stopped. My heart drops instantaneously. Limbs feeling heavier than the ogre that stood before me.
"Oh my, you would make a good roast." The ogre says, licking his lips hungrily. "Wait, why can't I smell your delicious fumes? Since you are traveling with magic bearers, I'd imagine they'd make a potion to mask your smell." He concludes as I just stand there in shock. All the monsters inside the bar are looking at me hungrily and all I that can do is cower in fear. Meanwhile Dre is still trying to walk properly. Coraline already passed out from drinking too much a while ago which meant that I'm alone on this one.
"Can we negotiate-" I start but the ogre interrupts me once more. I am literally hating this guy's voice more and more as he rudely intergects every chance I get to speak.
"Ah, so you want to talk more huh? What did I tell you!? You only talk when you're spoken to!" The ogre barks at me venomously. He then flicks me which left a bruise on my cheek. I rub my cheek in pain as tears run down my red cheeks. The monsters just laugh at me, thinking I'm weak.
"Hey don't hurt her!" Surprisingly, Coraline says this. I'm in shock myself at how bold she is when clearly she hates me for some reason.
"Why are you defending the weakest race in existence? Back when they were first starting out all they could do was build. When we had our first encounter with their kind-" This time, Coraline interrupts the ogre.
"Shut the fuck up before I make you!" Coraline yells at him, still drunk. I wonder why Coraline has such a problem when people talk about humans. It can't be because she is part human because she is of a different species. But when Dre told me about my kind and about the war Coraline flipped out. Even now when the ogre was saying things about us, Coraline got defensive and threatened him. How does this all connect? And what is Coraline hiding?
"Enough messing around." The ogre finally announces starting towards me. I try to run but another one of the monsters grabs me. It had a pterodactyl head with a scaly fat body and chicken legs. Tears stray down my face as I realize what was going to happen next. The ogre smirks cockily at me as if I was a prize he'd just won.
"Now little inferior human you will watch as I defeat your so called "friends"." The ogre grabs Dre's head and throws him to the wall with so much force.
"Ahhh!" Dre yells in pain. Since Dre already is drunk, he instantly passes out. As for Coraline, she actually tries to use her magic. Since Coraline doesn't have time to take out her wand, she does hand magic. Coraline doesn't have to say a spell for it to work. In all the movies that I've seen, they always say that if you can use magic with you're hands and not have to be verbal that you are really powerful. Coraline uses her magic to stun them but she have to continuously concentrate on them for it to keep it's affect.
"Get out of here with Dre! Now!" Coraline orders me, trying to compose all her magic and her thoughts on them.
The monster that is holding me is still in the same position which means that I can't move. Coraline sees this but a second later, she passes out. My guess is its overexertion of her magic. The grip on my arms tightens and I yelp in pain. Then in an instant, everything goes black.
I wake up on a bed with silk sheets. I look around the well kept room but can't help noticing the beautiful white curtains. I look under the sheets to check if someone did something to me sighing in relief when I realize that no one did. That sigh was quickly taken back and instead worry fills me. What happened to Coraline and Dre? Were they killed? How did I get here and where am I? I am buzzing with questions until I hear someone knock on the door. I quickly hide under the covers.
