"I just got some medicine. But don't worry it's not bad. It's going to help mommy feel better." I answer, smiling at the rearview mirror. Jessie nods and smiles from ear to ear with joy.

I shake my head and wipe the tears straying down my cheeks caused by the horrible remembrance of my past. I quickly look up to see that Dre and Coraline are really far ahead of me so I increase my pace to keep up with them.

"Oh, there you are! Here, spray this potion on you. It'll mask your smell." Dre says pleasantly. I nod at him, spraying the potion on myself. Surprisingly, it smells of good. I sniff again, it smells like flowers.

"Where are we going next?" I ask Dre. Come to think of it, I hadn't actually talked to Coraline since our altercation earlier.

"We're going to the bar to blow off some steam." Dre announces casually, making it sound like it is no big deal. But to me it is.

"B-but I'm under age! I have never been to a bar before." I object, thinking I'll make a compelling case.

"They don't know that you're under age." He shrugs. "You can just fake it, pretending to be older. It'll be fine." Dre reassures me. "Well, as long as you don't drink. Then it'll be like you never even went." His words trumped all my objections. Besides, there was no point in protesting. They can either force me with magic or worse, leave me here all alone.

"Fine, I'll go." I sigh in defeat. Dre just nods and we start walking side by side in silence.

Once we start getting closer to a lot of monsters, I instinctively wrap myself around Dre's arm. Shockingly, his arm feels so muscular. But it is making it even more comfortable to attach my body on.

"You scared princess?" Dre asks, concern filling his voice. I slightly nod my head. After a while, my body starts shaking violently

"That's it." Dre bursts out, seeing how terrified I am. He swiftly lifts me up in his strong arms, carrying me bridal style. Coraline just rolls her eyes at us, but I'm too terrified to care. Earlier, I decided that whatever she says or does to me, I will not let it effect me or make me cry again.

Once we make it to the bar, Coraline immediately jugs down a full bottle of beer by herself! Wow, this is actually very impressive. However, Dre on the other hand, only takes a few sips from his glass of wine. I can obviously tell who can hold their liquor and who can't.

Out of nowhere, I feel a giant hand rest on my shoulder. Right away, I know that it doesn't belong to Dre or Coraline because both of their hands aren't this big.

"Hey." I hear a deep raspy voice boom from behind me. I turn around dramatically slow, keeping my eyes on the floor. I cautiously peek to find that it is an ogre! I scream internally, so loud that I'm sure if my cells had ears, they would blow apart. The ogre extends his gigantic hand towards me again but this time I lean back, avoiding his touch.

"Why can't I touch you? You look beautiful." The ogre complains. With each word leaving his mouth, his breath becomes more and more vile. It directly hits my face, making me want to gag. My eyes start watering as I try to block the strong smell by covering my nose with my hand but it isn't working. The scent is so strong that it lingered around the air surrounding us even after he closed his mouth.

I start to panic as he extends his hand towards me again, but this time, he was aiming for my cheek. I quickly dodge his hand, running to Dre who isn't too far away from me. I hide behind him, clinging onto his shirt tightly. Dre looks down at me in confusion and I point to the monstrous ogre charging towards us. Dre quickly stands up but stumbles back a bit. I immediately know that he drank a lot. In his state, I worry he'll just pass out any moment.

"Hey! Give me back my girl or things will start getting nasty." The ogre threatens sassily, raising his voice.

"With all do respect I'm not you're prop-" I began but this ogre interrupts me in the middle of my sentence. How rude!

"Shut up! Women don't talk to men unless spoken to." The ogre spits at me. I fold my arms across my chest stubbornly. I have the urge to give him a piece of my mind but I know better than to do that. He can probably mash me like a potato. He looks like he can lift tons while I, on the other hand, can barely lift fifty pounds.

The ogre quickly reaches out to me and lifts up my cloak, taking me by surprise.

Dammit!
