Chapter 9

A few weeks later it hit the 9th month, and Riley's stomach has gotten more bigger as she laid asleep on her couch surrounded by bags of chips as everyone Lucas and Zay stared down at her.

"It's the 9th month man" Zay spoke up "How do you feel?"

"To be honest-" Lucas replied "I'm gonna miss fat Riley, she was pretty cute going through her pregnancy hormones."

"Well I'm not gonna miss fat Riley at all, her stealing my food, especially when I'm not looking."

Just then everyone else burst in as Maya carried a clipboard.

"Alright people listen up!" she announced "It's the 9th month so that means we need a baby shower quick! How are you doing Riley?!"

Riley just replied with a snore.

"She's been asleep for almost an hour now" Lucas put in "She's kept kicking me last night and I had to sleep on the couch again."

"Well then, I guess her baby shower is gonna be a surprise then. So I made a list of ideas for the shower and present ideas-".

But before she could continue, Riley suddenly awoke with a moan.

"Did I hear presents?" she mumbled.

"Go back to sleep Riley" Maya ordered.

"Okay" she yawned as she went back to sleep.

"Okay peeps, we don't know when the babies are coming, so since Riley wants a simple baby shower, we'll give her one, but we gotta be quick. Does everyone know what presents they're gonna give?"

Just then Riley woke up again.

"Why do I keep hearing presents?" she mumbled "Is it Christmas already?"

"Riley, go sleep in your room."

"Okay" Riley mumbled as she tried to get up, but her pregnancy stomach was so heavy that it was making it hard for her to get up "Can you guys-?"

Everyone helped her up.

"Thanks" she mumbled as she headed into her room.

"Okay then-" Maya continued "Does everyone knows what presents they're gonna give?"

Everyone nodded yes.

"Very good, so all we gotta do is plan the actual shower and when."

"If we hurry we may be able to get it done this Saturday" Josh put in "Considering that it's gonna be a simple shower."

"In that case-" Maya said as she handed out lists to everyone "Everyone get started on buying these items.'

"Purple jelly beans?" Farkle read the list "You want the babies to choke?"

"They're for Riley."

"Oh that makes sense."

Just then Zay gave a chuckle after reading his list.

"You want us to get a baby cowboy and princess outfit?" he questioned with a chuckle.

"Yeah it's adorable" Maya replied.

"Oo I can't wait to see that" Smackle giggled "Princess and Cowboy Friar, so cute."

"And if I were you Zay-" Maya added "I'd go now, there's a sale at Walmart for baby items."

"In that case, later!"

And with that he stormed out, only to storm back in as Lucas tossed him his keys and he headed out again.
