W-what is this foul smell... Rita wrinkled her nose and rolled her head to the other side but she could still smell something awful. She finally decided to open her eyes to see Hellewise holding something which resembled a stick and was letting out smoke.
"Oh good, you're awake!" Hellewise threw away the stick, "I didn't really want to leave you here like this...don't question, I'm not bothering to answer why."
Hellewise turned to put away her equipment back in her robes while Rita looked around the village. The village was still in ruins on her side but the side where the portal has expanded was totally eradicated. Ugh...my head hurts... Rita thought as she rubbed her head to find that she was in fact bleeding since there was blood on her hand.
"You might not want to touch your head too much, it might get infected" Hellewise started but her sentence was finished by someone else.
"And you might lose more of your brain cells, Arthurs" Kiera smirked as she leaned against the ruins of what used to be Glenton's walls, "Gees, I leave for a couple of days and the whole village goes in ruins!"
"Don't flatter yourself, Pearson" Rita coughed out some blood. Why am I coughing blood? Rita thought before she noticed a sharp rock was pierced through her body, "Great... I go unconscious for a while and you already try to kill me and roast me like a boar."
"Don't flatter yourself, Arthurs" Kiera laughed, "There's not much to eat. Only skin and bones."
"Well judging by your exquisite taste for bed covers, I wouldn't have you as a food critic" Rita rolled her eyes but coughed out some more blood.
"I think we might need to get you treated and fast...or you can just die" Kiera shrugged, "Your choice but I suggest the second option."
"Sorry to disappoint you but I don't grant your wishes like that elephant" Rita tried to get up and took out the sharp rock in her back.
"That's it!" Kiera clicked her fingers, "The Amethystine part of Glenton wasn't wiped out! We can get Magna to help us!"
"I don't need your help" Rita glared at Kiera. She lifted her left hand which was shaking violently and started to concentrate as a bright light started to surround her and after a while, Rita was fully recovered.
"So you do have the brains to use that thing!" Kiera sarcastically lifted her hands to cover her mouth, pretending she was amazed, "Funny how I couldn't tell when you were fighting against a worm which had sunlight as a weakness...while you had the sun crystal."
"Just... shut up, seriously" Rita was too tired to deal with Kiera who stuck out her tongue. Rita turned to Hellewise, "So what now?"
"What do you mean? I've completed my part of the bargain so these ruins are all yours now" Hellewise turned but before leaving Rita shouted.
"Wait!" she ran in front of Hellewise, "You cannot leave yet! Your carriage is the fastest thing I've seen! We will need it to go to the Order!"
"A carriage...up a mountain?" Kiera had the look of 'surely you must be joking', "Now that's a sight to see!"
"Pipe down, Pearson!" Rita hissed.
"I can lend you the carriage but I'm not going anywhere near the mountains. It's called GPC – Global Positioning Carriage, by the way" Hellewise started to leave, "I value my life."
Kiera went next to Rita and leaned her elbow against Rita's shoulder, "Boom! Shot down again, Arthur, me boy? Don't worry; there are plenty of fish in the sea!"
