Mating season, the time of year where all hybrids would go absolutely nuts to find a mate, and humans would be scared shitless and stay in their houses, few were lucky to have one as a partner already, and one of those people was Edd, his hybrid partner was half werewolf, and his name was (Y/n), having (e/c) eyes, (h/c) hair, and (f/c) bushy wolf ears and tail, always being seen wearing an (f/c) hoodie with black sweats and boots, he may had came off as an asshole to others, but once got to known better, he would come off as loyal, kind, protective, and sweet. Basically everything Edd could ask for in a lover, and would never ask for better, (Y/n) thinking the same, nothing could ever change how much they loved each other, however, today Edd got to see a whole new side of him, they were at a local bar, drinking and chatting, when (Y/n) stood up and told Edd that he was going to get something to drink, Edd said ok and the wolf walked off, leaving Edd to his thoughts, when he heard someone cat whistle behind him, he turned around and saw a group of wolf hybrids, smirking at Edd, he rolled his eyes and turned away from them, but then felt a tap on his shoulder, he looked up to see it was one of the guys, still smirking.

"Hey their, what's a pretty thing like you sitting here all alone~?" "That's none of your concern." Edd grumbled, he didn't want to deal with this. "Aw c'mon~ don't be like that~ me and my pack over their just wanna 'play'~" "I'm marked." Edd sneered, pulling down the collar of his sweater to reveal a bite mark, no, they hadn't done 'it' they would only go as far as nibbles on the neck and kissing, that was it, (Y/n) marked him claiming so 'Others know who you belong to' and he wasn't wrong there, the guy just sneered. "So what? He's probably a twig or something, why don't you play with REAL big boys~?" "Who are you calling a twig? bitch." Edd smiled, he knew that voice, he thanked the heavens luck was on his side, the guy turned around Edd swore he saw his ears and tail go white and stiffen, his ears pointing down in fear, (Y/n) towered over the man, baring his sharp k-nines and his (e/c) eyes glowing in rage. "You've got something to say to me? Then say it to my face." Before they knew the man ran out like he saw a ghost, his pack not far behind, (Y/n) scowled at the direction where they ran off to and looked back at Edd, concerned. "You ok kitty? Did he touch you?" Edd smiled and shook his head. "No, I'm ok, you got here just in time, I felt as if I was about to slap someone." (Y/n) chuckled and sat back down, cola and water in hand, passing the cola over to Edd, who happily took it. "Well, can't blame ya, heard those guys had been coming here for a while, and they'd usually go after anything that isn't FULLY marked." Edd quirked an eyebrow, what did he mean by that? He also noticed that the werewolf in front of him was blushing. "What do you mean by 'fully marked'?" (Y/n) sighed and rubbed his temples. "Well, I only bit you, so my scent on you wouldn't be as strong or as lasting, however, if we........Well, y'know?" Edd blushed, he knew exactly what he meant, and the thought alone set his face on fire, making his imagination go wild in unwanted details. "Yeah, you get what I mean, if we did 'that' the scent would be permanent, unable to washed out or covered from a hybrids scents of smell." That surprisingly made sense to Edd, he still blushed at the idea........And (Y/n) could only imagine getting his ass kicked by Tord, remembering what he was told.

He was simply cuddling with Edd on the couch, his head resting on Edds lap while being scratched behind the ears, eyes closed, he enjoyed the attention, it felt nice, when he then heard footsteps coming down the stairs and then stopped, he opened his eyes and saw Tord, both males smiled at the norski. "Hi Tord!" "Hey Tord, what's up?" "Not much, I just wanted to talk with (Y/n) for a minute." (Y/n) sat up and got on to his feet, Tord motioned for the wolf to follow him to the back yard, and did as told, they stood behind a tree, and Tord had this serious look on his face, it honestly scared (Y/n) shitless. "S-so, w-what's up?" "I want to talk about you and Edds current 'situation'." The (h/c) got shivers up his back, shaking in fear, Tords ruby red eyes looking ready to kill, (Y/n) took a deep breath and calmed down a little bit. "Look, I understand you care very deeply for Edd, but I want to let you know I would never DREAM of hurting him, he's one of the greatest things that had ever happened to me, I would never taint a kind heart such as his." "I'm glad you think that way, but I just wanna make this EXTREMELY clear." Tord pulled out a gun and pointed it at the wolves neck, the (h/c)s eyes widening in fear. "If you even dare thinking of doing the 'contrary' with him, I will skin you alive, and feed your flesh and bones to the demons below, got that?" The wolf nodded, and Tord smiled, putting the gun away and looking as if nothing had happened. "Good! that's what I wanted to hear!" And then he walked off, leaving the wolf stiff as stone, Needless to say (Y/n) wouldn't leave Edds side for the rest of the day.
